Got the ruby! I just got the ruby! The app kept crashing on me, but in exchange I got the ruby! That makes up for the ten or more times I tried to run the app. After all the trouble with the emerald and pearl, I wasn't expecting to get it at all. Congratulations to everyone who got the ruby already, and good luck to everyone who hasn't!

It's a second generation iPod, and I tried rebooting and deleting and reinstalling several times, but it didn't work. I contacted Backflip Studios, and they told me that my iPod is the oldest one that supports DV and that they had a lot of reports of crashing with similar devices.

Aaawwww.... my sweet DV family. Thank you for birthday AND Ruby wishes. You're all too kind. No Ruby in sight yet, but since som of you have it I know it is possible. I think the Ruby will be like the Frostfire for me, almost impossible. Gut feeling... But it worries me because it is a limited one. Will NOT use more gems. Yet. Finally the ruby dragon after many gems and many firecracker fails and sonic I got one this morning. It can be gotten. I Used level 15 dragons chrome and scotch for many try's than this morning I switched the chrome dragon for another one and used scotch and chrome in that Oder and got one. Although I really do not think it matters it's all luck and random breeding. Good luck everyone.
Congrats Timeless! And happy birthday Yasha (day late)! I think you'll get your Ruby without too much anguish... I really do. There's that added pressure when it's your birth month, it's hard to ignore - I'm sure I'll feel it too when December rolls around.

A little gem problem I just got the message that (i)doctor, flip1329, ktalexand, sandb0xx, AND OTHERS gave me some gems while I was away today. If anybody from this forum gave me gems, please let me know so I can get one back to you soon! So many fireworks! I've had so many ruby fails, most of them being the new firework dragon. Also had a copper, magnetic, and some others. I know it's early, but I want the ruby dragon sssoooo bad! Congrats to those of you who already have one and good luck to everyone else!
I was one of those "AND OTHERS." No hurry though, I've got lots of gem buddies. On a side note, I have 42 Firework dragons and 0 Rubies. Okay, maybe 42 is a slight exaggeration. But it feels like 42! - DD
