Dragonvale: Strategies/Tips (NOT an add me thread)

I have two gold and I used medal and firefly level 15 but I know there are other combos.its all random good luck to everyone.

 

Brass/Flower in that order. Both lvl 15 and on EBI

Many, many fails before and after. No second in sight.

 

U mean 3 level 20 panlongs that u have to collect every 45 mins

 

Just got 2 Golds in a row after countless fails with Brass/Flower

EBC- Scorch 15/Iron 15

 

Still no Ruby here...and I just got a 48 hour fail. I'm up to 31 Firework eggs...and one in a breeding cave. LOL, come see my Firework egg display!

Aahh but that fail could be the new gold dragon! I still need one of those, a rainbow and a malachite. Darn those elusive dragons!

 

I wouldn't mind having that rainbow egg in the hatchery. Good job and congrats!

 

Wow grats! I rushed off to try the same, leveled up Scorch#2 and Iron.. but alas no 39 yet.. but Ill stick with it.

 

Haha, yeah I tried Scorch/Iron again to see if I could get three Gold in a row. I ended up with another 48hr.... but #3 was a Rainbow.

Thanks for the tip on the app dlstar. Just downloaded it and it looks pretty good. Great for when you are on the run.

 

The moon dragon has just hatched, wow it does generate coins quickly! That's helpful because I have an air dragon egg ready to hatch (well I think so, I bred a water dragon with a fire dragon, and the egg has swirls on it) but I can't afford an air habitat yet, hopefully it won't be long now before I can build one.

Thanks for the link to the breeding guides, they look like they will be useful.

 

On third try with your combo I got a forge. I suppose the stars were aligned differently here.

EDIT- Metal/Scorch = Gold. Confirmed.

 

Thanks for the update. I have brass/flower breeding through 48 hr cycle (adjusted). If it turns out something other than gold i'll try your combo. Those forges fails get old fast.

 

48 hour fail with Chrome/Scorch. I'm guessing it's the Gold? That will be welcome anyway, I'm getting sick of Forge, Copper and Firework!

I sit corrected, and in awe....

DOH!

Been so long since I gave up on them panlongs that I forgot the math....

3 level 15s fill the 75K in about an hour. If you collect once an hour, 16 hours a day, you get 1.2 (and change) million a day per habitat against 576K per rainbow.(rainbow accumulates 24/24, panlong, you hafta sleep).
That's pretty much double the revenues, but a lot more work... I eventually compromised with 6 panlong habitats and 17 rainbows... And a pair of Solstice for decoration.
