Just popping in to say that I have had luck with Iron/Malachite breeding Slag. Two tries, two Slags. (metal/earth-combo was already busy, so I decided to try something else. Metal/earth, either way, only gives me iron)
Phew finally got a gold after what felt like thousands of fails, that one was tricky for me! Now to get another for my egg display, but pressure off now. Don't think much of the name of the new dragon either, wonder if it looks female? Great to see you back GP, and to hear your little pooch is doing well so far, hope things continue to go to plan. Got my Metal dragon and have bred a Chrome, which is now going to stay in the love den with my Scorch dragon until they produce a Ruby! Although I'd like whatever they are producing together at the moment to be a dragon I already have, I want to sell it so I can get some money for decorations, I've just spent almost everything upgrading treat farms.
Metal/Earth was giving me Iron after Iron as well. So I switched to Iron/Malachite...fail. But then back to Metal/Earth and success! Not sure why the Slag was such a DRAG for me. Now back to Gold. - DD
hello, finally i got fireworks... LOL... I'm almost done with my Copper... errr... what's the best way to breed gold? or maybe moon/sun? Brass + Flower?
I got gold with metal and earth twice but it took a few try's. What works for me may not work for you just gives you something else to try if you want too. Others say brass and flower I was not able to get it with that. Good luck hope you get one soon.
Some people have gotten gold with scorch/chrome, brass/flower, and even just metal/fire. I've been trying and can't get one at all. Good thing it's not a limited dragon. I still need a rainbow too. The breeding sandbox lists firefly and storm as a breeding pair for sun and moon. I think I got my moon using cold and storm. Don't remember how I got my sun though. Hope that helps. Iron/Malachite gave me Moss. Eek! Have one Slag with Metal/Earth so will go back to it cuz I want two. Despite the name, it's kind of a cutie with a dinosaur look.
Brass/Fire is also a good combo because the only Gold fail possible is brass. It takes 5 hours to breed which isn't too bad. My sister got it with this combo, but I got mine with Metal/Firefly. Good luck!
breeding time - 24 hours... im not sure what would it be...but definitely not sun/moon/gold.. prolly, forge again... its ok... ill just display it..
Yeah, it's a forge. Those 24 hour fails really tie up the breeding caves. I was just wondering, do you have the Epic Breeding Island?
I just saw that available on my market awhile ago.... what is that for? i purchased gem island, but i dont have any... lol
The island gives you a chance to breed two different pairs of dragons at once. So you can have one pair in the cave and another pair on the island. Some say it gives you a better chance at the rarer dragons, but I don't think that's true. It's worth the price though, in my opinion. It's helped me get some dragons by using the same combination two times at once. Hope that makes sense.
The Epic Breeding Island is another place to breed dragons. It's supposed to make the chances of getting rare dragons higher, but many people haven't seen much difference. You can use it in addition to your normal breeding cave to breed another pair at the same time.
With my Ruby finally hatched (And named after my son), I have a second gold in the nursery (Another of my Ruby fails.). I also have a Slag in the nursery which I got with Metal and Clover - I was actually trying for Malachite. I have to go through the market today and see which Dragons, other than Malachite, I still need having spent so much time on the gemstone fails. LOL, I seem to get a lot of them during failed Gemstone attempts (Gold, Forge, Firework).
I would get the epic breeding island. I haven't even upgraded either of them because some other people were saying that the nursery got filled too fast, and they couldn't breed because there was no more room to incubate the eggs.
