Imho.. upgrading both is definitely worth it.. who doesn't like waiting less? Nursery backup doesn't happen that often. But get the island first so you have two going at once.
Maybe I'll upgrade one of them when my dragons finish breeding. It depends on the price though. Thanks for the info! Edit: I just upgraded the breeding cave.
Oh congrats on your Ruby and your second Gold LBryanDLC! I kept remembering that you were still trying for Ruby a few days ago. Now onto July's gemstone (I kept forgetting what it is called)~ I'm still trying for a Slag with Metal/Clover and Metal/Earth. Hopefully it will come along soon!
Definitely getting the EBI first over uprgrades. In my opinion, having an extra breeding ground is better than just spending 125+ gems to cut down on the breeding time. I actually have been in some situations where I don't have enough room in the nursery because of the long fails that came along beforehand, which made my breeding cave and breeding island stuck as a result. Definitely not a good spot to be in

The island, this way you can have 2 breeding pairs at a time 24 hours fails) and the upgrade only saves 20% on the breeding. You still need to wait the full time for hatching...

Congrats Foxtail! I think I just got one last night (if the timer was 18 gems) with Metal and Clover. I would have tried Metal and Iron, but I still want a second Malachite.Now it's back to square one for my second Malachite and Slag.
That's what the breeding cave will look like after it is upgraded with 175 gems. Don't worry, it's a permanent addition to DV and it is available anytime. Maybe your friends were the ones sending those gems to you? If not, you are one lucky person. I have never tried leveling up any chibis (I like most of them in their adult form), but I do believe they will stay the same. If not, you could always change their appearance back in the Fountain of Youth.
I only have less than 10 friends... so, and i'm just getting 3-4 gems per day.. i'm certain that i only had 10 gems that time.. if they will go back to their adult form then i should stop making them look young till they're level 20, which could take what? years? hahahah i heard you can get stuck (level 30+) for months... true? i'm done cooking my Forge... i'll try metal/earth, so help me, Dear Dragons... lol
If your dragons looks young and you level them up past level 10, they still look young, but they get an elemental ball above their heads and increase in size. I'm not sure about the gem increase. Maybe DV randomly gave you some gems accidentally. It would be cool if you got to keep them!

Yay! A Ruby I think! Well they're in the cave and the timer is over 1 day, and I put them in there again earlier today (after they produced yet another Firework!), so I think a Ruby is the only dragon that fits those times...
err... are you referring to my 22-hour cooking time? Ruby = 31 hrs and slag =22 ----- i bought an EBI and summoned it (in case DV will take the 700 addtl gems back) *happy dance*
I just checked your park from my sister's device. Your gem count is now 644 and your EBI is showing up. It seems like a glitch.
yeah... i bought the EBI right away... i had 72 gems and was really shocked to see 772... thinking about buying gemtree now... you think my park has a bug or something?
