@hooked....aww, so happy you got your Peridot nice and early(knew cos I did visit)....I feel very relieved for you, really hope your daughter can get her one now too Maybe you should try for her and return the favour? If not, seek it out Jaz....O.M.G.I can't believe I'm even saying this when you're on HOLIDAY....what kind of crazy hold does DV have on us all? Sheesh Really hope everyone gets their Olys before time runs out (can anyone confirm for sure when that is?) I think I'd be very happy to just try for the sapphire dragon next month.....well at least no more limited ones as well...phew!
@ Jazbo and Girlpower- Thnx! My hubby is already in Split, visiting his mother. I had to stay at home and work for another week. How unfair is that?!? Well, well.. Looking forward to two weeks in the sun anyways. @ ButterFlyFan - Yes, oh yes I did. Lots and lots of 'em. But I haven't had as many Crystal fails as the rest of you seem to get. Mostly Tree/Moss/Cactus but of course some Crystals too. Keeping both fingers and toes crossed for all of you to get the limited ones before they expire. @ Girlpower again - imagine the horror of missing out on a limited dragon because your on a holiday?!? Definitely need to seek out wifi, no matter the cost.
I am going to rant today I have gotten two of every dragon so far except the gold oly and I just keep getting crystals. It is not like I do not support the dev I do my husband can get real upset with me on the itunes cards. They told me when I started playing right after christmas that they would try and release the christmas dragon again. I am not happy with them right now that they made it very hard for us to get all oly dragons there all 35 hours you never know what you have I am not happy they did that to us. I am not happy my xp is going in the trash again. I want more habitats and the cap off to 40 atleast come on guys. I think these oly dragons are a little ugly. We never got a dragon for 100 gems we get the over 1000 gem dragons you have to really save for those and hope you never have to buy one and more decorations please. Now I hope everyone that has not gotten atleast one of the dragons each gets one soon. Like everyone else I hate the crystal dragons. Lots of good luck wishes for all dragons to everyone. @eugekava: Scary eugekava is scary ._. I wouldn't want to be a crystal dragon under your roof. lol Congrats to Yasha, Daily and everyone on getting their Peridots and Olys! Good luck to those still trying! Hopefully the Crystals will stop coming as much after appearing 5X in a row or something. No, still no oly bronze! But I haven't tried for a few days, too busy getting crystal fails trying for the elusive peridot! Tick tock tick tock! I will have access to wifi for first week of hols in London, but we have loads planned for the week so will more likely be lack of time than lack of wifi! Would be very anti social of me to sneak off to 'play'......... Wouldn't it???? . I told my hubby I would be taking my iPad to the Olympics, he was not impressed and I think the answer was 'NO!' I do have a pretty big handbag I could use though....... I am not obsessed with my games, I am not obsessed with my games....... 2nd week, pretty sure there won't be any wifi where I'm going! So apologies in advance if my gem gifting returns slow up during that week!
DV fans calling BFS Calling BFS, hello BFS, ... crickets chirping, chirp, chirp, chirp, chirp... Hello BFS, are your ears burning? We are all patiently waiting for some news, Facebook announcement or app launch screen. No news since July 31! Some of our friends are leaving for holiday and we would appreciate any information about the much "loved" Oly dragons. Are they here to stay or going away this month? Olympics are in their last week and no announcement or info from you yet. For all those still trying to breed the Olys I recommend using Butterfly if you have one with Clover, Tree or Moss. The butterfly and clover are great together fluttering around and have given me two Silvers and three Bronze so far. I am hoping for one or two Golds before too many more of the others. This combo also will produce many fewer of the beloved Crystals (one out of 14 possible) as compared to using Sandstorm/Dodo with Quake or Crystal (will give Crystals one out of 3 times). I finally have a Peridot finishing in the Breeding Cave in about 5 hours! Looking forward to the green egg, had a 25 hour timer yesterday while mindless breeding. Trees and 4 Crystals in a row have me not too excited about hitting the breed button. And then we get a Success and it makes the wait a little less painful. I do not think you should be worrying about the gems and just have a great time with your hubby and family. I hope you have a great trip. PSST Good Luck with the Dragons.

@TexasTed - I thought that it was weird that BFS never mentioned anything about the Olympus dragons. I'm sure that there are some players who don't check the DV store regularly and don't know about them.
Update 1.9.1 is released Crickets are still chirping... But an update has been released tonight with no announcement, news. Race track wheel now spins smoothly, also limited dragons are now in the races. I raced against Bone and Clover dragons during a Year of the Dragon race. Spin results are still producing very few gems and I learned from reading the spinner will always stop on the 7th space so the prize is predetermined. When the gold spinner comes up slowly turn the spinner clockwise, count the space the arrow is on as one and the 7th space will always be the stopping space/prize. No matter if you spin fast or slow or start at different spots it will always stop on the 7th space. Great for those that like to read the last page of a book and find out what happens but I wish the spin result stopped randomly.
A ill embarrassing but thought I would share anyway. Just came back from vacation, went camping in Acadia nat'l forest in Maine. No sooner get up there but learn about the oly dragons. Only wifi is at the ranger station. So held out for 4 days like a good camper, then caved in and at night when family and friends were toasting marshmallows, I hiked to the ranger station, hunkered down and spent a ton of gems to get the olys as soon as I could. The funny part? I am a 60 year old marketing director, married 43 years to the same man, have wonderful children and grandchildren, love my life, and I crave these damn eggs. You sure made me feel better I am 57 and I am addicted to dragonvale,derby days and pet hotel. I am glad I am not the only one. Hope you got your dragons.
My wife always makes fun of me for spending so much time on this game but knowing all of u and your ages and your schemes to find a way to play no matter what make me feel like I'm not alone ... It's like we are a weird obsessed family... And I love it! Thanks for making my day again Lol Ps I'm 25 have two beautiful boys and a wife and work 50 hrs a week but always find time to play and be on here (shhhh I'm at work now)
These limited time dragons are annoying now. Two weeks to get three Olympus dragons is unreal. We have a month to get one Gem dragon and sometimes that's not long enough! So far I've had more Quake, Sonic and Crystal than I care to count. Had one Bronze and one breeding, which this morning turned out to be another bronze! Sheesh, three more days untill the Olympics closing ceremony and I still have to get Silver and Gold. Might end up having to buy gems, since I used them all on Ruby and Olympus fails... I hope everyone else is having more luck, especially Hooked, your due a bit of luck after that Ruby! Which combo's have given the best results so far?
I got one just after the update, but I already had two silvers and one bronze. I didn't use any gems to speed up fails because I used them all to upgrade the EBI and breeding cave. The only pair that has worked for me is Air/Quake. I hope you have a bit more luck after those bronzes.
Aaaarrrrggghhhh! (that's me having a major tantrum!!!!!!) just got my 13th crystal fail!!!! if I didn't love my iPad so much it would have made me feel better to throw it across the room!!!!! Has anyone who got the peridot yet had any luck using different levels of cactus/crystal? Please post your results as I'm willing to try anything! Thanks for listening, tantrum over
