Could be. I just noticed my Firefly display egg has a Fire pedestal instead of Lightening. Usually an egg gets the pedestal of its first element. Didn't they just change the element order of the Firefly to Lightening/Fire? I wonder if I breed another and display it if it will have a Lightening pedestal or if the Fire pedestal is a bug.
My game will not let me buy gems and they owe my some took my money did not give me gems crashed. I wrote them Thursday no one has said they would fix it. I seen what my husband was telling me about DV he read it wrong it was some other app that caused a problem not Dragonvale and they removed it. DV is here to stay I hope for a long time.
It was posted on Sandbox on 7/26: Uncommons won't appear in 2-element combos unless basic/pure parents are used. For example, Metal + Earth can make Iron or Scoria, but Iron + Earth can only make Iron. Combos with 3+ elements are not affected.
On May 25 they gave Firefly a new egg and did change it to Lightning/Fire. My Firefly is on a Lightning pedestal (not sure when I bred it), you are lucky to have one on Fire.
I am currently trying Air/Mine ever since Silver was announced and all I got are Steels. Note that I did want a second Steel and a third one for display, but now it's just ridiculous! I'm going to try switching to Snow/Metal to see how my luck is No luck with Cold/Mine either. This Silver is pretty challenging I'll admit. Good luck everyone!
Silver breeding I have a Silver breeding in my cave using Chrome and Cold. The dragon is very rare with a probability similar to Gold, 2-4% likely so it will be very rare and require many fails. GP and anyone else still trying for Gold treasure, try Bluefire and Metal because this will have a chance to produce both Gold and Silver. Only negative with this pair is the 24 hour Forge fail. I will keep trying for a second Peridot for the rest of the week because I should be able to breed a second Silver by breeding a Gold and Silver. Safe week for everyone along the US Gulf of Mexico coast. Go away or weaken Isaac!
Thank you for mentioning the Gold/Silver breeding pair I was going to check it out if I ever got a Silver but probably would have forgotten about it. My thoughts are also with the people on the Gulf Coast. I love to vacation on the panhandle and wish everyone there a safe time.
My thoughts and prayers are with those in the path of this storm. My niece and brother in law lives in Florida. My family in Ga. So I have been watching it since Friday.
Just read up on the storm. Looks serious. New Orleans residents just don't get a break. I wonder if the levis were fixed after the Katrina disaster. Either way, I hope that no one gets hurt this time. On the DV front, just got 37.5 hr timer with Air/Miner both lvl 15 in EBC.
I ended up getting a silver with mine and scorch in the breeding island. I didn't even know they had added it! Its getting ridiculous with all of these dragons that they are adding. I am trying to get everyone in the game achievement but that is basically impossible when they add 3 dragons a week haha.
Looks like I got lucky on this round. Level 13 Plant/Mine in the EBC and I have a 47 hour timer! Thinking positive thoughts for those in the storm path. - DD
Thanks for the suggestion TT....darn that gold dragon, silver not looking any more promising....I know it's only early days yet....I did start looking at combos that would give me both also....mostly they had a rainbow in the mix though too.....forge seems to like me well enough. Congrats to you and the others posters who ALREADY have a silver cooking....consider that fast work
Just got a new Firefly egg and displayed it. It has the Lightening pedestal. Guess I'll keep the one on the Fire pedestal as a collector's item.
Tried your plant/steel combo and also finally got Ironwood on the first try! Thanks. Will stay with this combo for awhile, no luck with Air/Mine for Silver.
