I'm confused about the gift dragon. Can it be bred? I haven't played actively for five or six months so I'm having a hard time catching up with all of the new dragons
Grats! I finally got my second Sakura so I just started trying for bloom... of course my first try resulted in a sun/moon fail
As of today, the Gift dragon should be available for purchase and can be bred with any combo of cold, fire and plant. The first one was free if you got it on or before Christmas day. Hope that helps!
I know what you mean! I've gotten Sun, Moon and Blue Moon fails trying for a Bloom! I did manage to get 2 Leap Year's, one Sakura and an Emerald
OH, OH, OH!!! I just bred my own little Gift dragon with Reindeer and Gift! I'm so happy to know that I can have a display egg. It is so pretty. *love, love, love* (9 h 56 min with upgraded cave)

I can't get my second apocalypse dragon yet. I spent around 200 gems speeding all fails but no luck at all. At least i got my first bloom with Malachite/Storm after trying to get apocalypse. oh and happy holidays to every one!
I thought I would go and buy a malachite and ironwood and neither are in the store!! What happened to them? I've never been able to breed them and I finally have the gems to pay :S
Hello everyone. I usually stay on the adventure game thread but since being introduced to dragonvale, am having an issue w addiction Any suggestions on breeding the leap year?
I've been having terrible luck trying to breed dragons that were introduced while I was gone, and even worse I've been getting 3-6 hour fails every time. I guess it's time to start dishing out those gems.

Leap Year (LY) - it's often in the fail mix for other dragons, but I got my first with Seaweed/Firefly (1st try) and second as an Emerald fail (Crystal/Lichen). I recommend Seaweed/Firefly. And welcome Teagan!
Just bred my first Bone! yeah! It was first released long before I ever heard of the game, so I'm surprised the server picked me as the lucky recipient
Well I'm doing ok so far on my mission to fill in gaps for second and missing dragons. I've gotten my second bloom and love dragons, and both apocalypse dragons so far. I'm leaving eggs until I've gotten all the dragons. Still trying for a second leap year, second gift dragon, as well as any glacier or platinum. I've also just achieved a personal goal I set myself several months ago - I read on this forum that someone (i forget who) had managed to save up 1000 gems purely through gifts and games, and decided to do it as well. This morning I reached that goal!! I have used a few here and there to speed up fails but mostly I've been hoarding and saving. I'm very pleased with myself!
apocalypse I am having the hardest time of all on the apocalypse dragon have been trying since it came out with lichen/mag or chrome/fog and keep getting silvers. any better ideas?
