I just bred my second rainbow dragon! Level four seaweed and level four firefly, in the regular breeding cave. It took about ten tries.
Woo hoo! My island design and all my dragons and statues are perfect now !! I have no food left and lost 1,000 spots on the rankings wasting resources lol

That's awesome....well done, I think we tend to focus on using higher level dragons to breed from but your posts a great reminder that lvl 4 can achieve the same results. Welcome to the forum also

I don't think he does He did an awesome job on this spreedsheet and it was invaluable to me back when......I still have him as one of my DV GC friends, but it doesn't look like he plays anymore. I still refer to his spreadsheet from time to time and I know it helped many.....clever guy
Whats the best way to get a second sandstorm dragon? The first one was hell, but I got it. Mud/Air both level 10! For the second one maybe air/sandstorm or does this not work?
Does anyone now wat u have to do to get the breeding cave?? I'm new to this so I'm just figuring it out.
F***! Once again nothing happens with all gold statues! I want to level up my rares!!! Why won't they let me have bigger rares! My sandstorm is now bigger than my rares! Makes me sad ! On the brights side for those who have seen my new baby island... Don't they look cuter and in general so much better than my other islands ? ******Also I'm bored so feel free to send me direct message of anyone new has any questions... I check the forum every couple of hours and I don't usually respond to small questions on the forum but respond to all messages ******
There are two breeding grounds now... One is a cave and the other an island... The island is lvl 1X (not sure of exact level cause I was much higher when it came out. And the breeding island is 125 gems and has "better" chance for rares (it's only noticeable for a few dragons in my opinion... It's all luck)... The breeding cave u get around level 5 I believe if I remember correctly and that's just gold... Which is what all starters should use to get a hang of breeding! Check out the wiki page for more details on the breeding grounds and a list of breeding combos for different dragons.
I've been trying air/sandstorm combo straight for a week. No luck. May be because sandstorm has low chance of success or may be its a wrong combo. Don't see how though. One of the outcomes has to be a sandstorm. So far I've been getting mostly Air with some earth here and there. On a plus side you get 500K coins every time you breed an Air, so not a total loss.
Tried that earlier this week in the epic love cave and it didn't work...but sometimes you have to do things many times before any success...thinking I will be going back to air + mud! or better yet, get my daughter to do it
Sand storm and earth - 5 minute failures, will sometimes produce an air dragon too, but mainly earths or sandstorms, got my second very quickly doing it that way..under an hour
I just got my second Sandstorm with Air/Mountain. I tried for over a week with Air/Sandstorm, must have been over 50 fails with a few fails with Air/Mud in between.
