Hah... Girlpower, you are going to laugh so hard at this. Finally, after a month or so of trying, I got my sandstorm! What's funny is that when I went to go feed it, I saw that the name that it came with, no joke, was thorn. I laughed so hard , just thought that i should share it with you guys.
I have been trying method to get another Sandstorm...no luck yet. I even tried feeding one earth baby only up to level 4 to see if that would tip the scale. Has anyone had any success with Blue Fire using Blue Fire + ? to help increase the chances? Or am better off trying with one of the other proven methods. I am just trying to get my 'goals'.
At last! a spotted egg in my nursery! I feel like leaving it there cause its sooo pretty and looks nice beside the Bone egg. My ideal nursery would have a sun, a moon, a rainbow and a bone!
Try using level Ten air and level four mud for your sandstorm, I was doing the sandstorm air combo with no success, my friend gave me that tip and it worked on the second try.
I have been trying for a second sandstorm for ages. Sandstorm/air brought me no success. After I read the post about Sandstorm/earth yesterday I did just that but so far no luck. I am trying to get the 50mil island so need both breeding caves to make airs. To be honest I don't know if age of the dragon makes any difference. Its all random, it seems, or if there is a "code" - no one cracked it yet.

That made my day reading your post.....isn't this dragon the biggest (be nice GP) er um ...challenge haha....the name Thorn even seems too tame for it. I am still trying to get it using my Thorn and earth....haha at least it's adding to my shrine count when I get earths...even build another earth habitat and already have 3 earth babies in it DOH : Oops....forget to say big congrats on finally getting your ....challenge too, good work!
Haha, me too Hooked....although my chances of getting a second bone are probably very remote so maybe two rainbows instead? Oh I WANT my second rainbow......running out of combo ideas, tried so many over and over.....even my firefly/swamp won't come through for me this time round, maybe I just haven't tried “enough times yet" Oh well, just gotta keep trying huh
Little did I know but my daughter hijacked my phone and bred a Bluey with this combo while I was asking the question! She has the magic touch...and for those keeping track, it was in the regular love cave. Not sure epic is all that epic! Still working on Sandstorm in that cave. darn...spoke too soon...it wasn't a Bluey...I forgot Cold Dragons take 12 hours too
havent been here in ages, but still playing. still missing rainbow. but i've worked out that its going to take at least 6 months to get gold shrines, if you dont want to spend real money. the quickest way is actually to sell most of the normal dragons and habitats and replace with rainbow, sun, moon and accumulate gold and treats. you can easily get the normal dragons after you've achieve gold shrines. i've also did some calculation to get gold shrines with the minimum number of dragons. if you are ever curious, i am sharing my spreadsheet here. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhFj1MvHCMVOdHY1NjdrMHV2RkJfWmRzY1FfVk1yWnc PS. formulas are still in the sheet so you can tweaks the numbers to suit your style.
The Dragonsai Gem tree really pays off when you have a lot of friends - quite cool as everybody else says it was a bad idea... Well, to me, it was an awesome bonus ^^ Now it's time to get the Epic breeding island and upgrading my nursery! Thanks everybody! Me lucky???? I dont think so.....took me a while to get my first rainbow way back on lvl 17 or 18......and I have been challenged with 6 other dragons, so if Rainbow has been your biggest challenge, count yourself lucky that it's only one?......have you tried blazing/seaweed? It's gotta happen eventually, my sandstorm did....only took around 3 mths! Good luck anyway
By far the best combo that worked for me was fire/storm both lvl 10. Breed them back to back and got a Bluey on both 5th & 6th attempts..... LOL, I wasn't trying for Bluey, but sun or moon, after 18 back to backs I gave up on this combo but 2 x Blueys was an awesome bonus especially cause I hadn't been able to get a second one to save myself and that was even using the Bluey I had to breed with
I agree....just got one too as my gem IOU list was getting way too long and I knew I would never be able to catch up with only 3 gems a day..... Good time to say a huge thanks to my GC friends for the gems......you are the reason I was able to buy my gem tree.....I am working through my list in order of gifts received, so now it should be quicker
FINALLY managed to get a Sun Dragon yesterday with the Ice + Scorch combo (after countless attempts!) Shame it looks so nasty!
Yeah, I got it for that very reason... Guilt. BTW, thanks to those who give me gems. I also try to reciprocate but if I missed anyone- my apologies. Sometimes when I start the game I miss the name of the friend who gave me gems.
