Fingers crossed. I had no success whatsoever with ff/cold. And then second try with scorch/cold gave me the frostfire. Key word here is random.
Got the frostfire egg using cold/firefly its hatching right next to a blazing dragon egg and the eggs look like brother/sister next to each other
Got second Sandstorm after liberal use of gems to speed up failures. I got it in normal cave after breeding air 10/ mud 4. Epic cave kept giving me muds and fogs. All I need now is second Sun.
Cold/Scorch hasn't worked for me Hi gang, Thanks for your understanding regarding my rant...what a great bunch you are! Now something funny, well sort of.... I have been using scold/scorch since I accidentally sold my lvl 11 firefly to make room for a new firefly egg....had a mixed up moment though and forgot to recheck that it was the firefly and not the scorch....so I sell the firefly and oopsy the egg is a scorch instead....darn it, now I only have a lvl 15 firefly and can't even get another firefly from this and cold....get storm instead, yet every time I do cold/scorch.....yep you guessed it, I get scorches..... Can you believe it.....now I have too many scorches and only one firefly. I have also tried my lvl 11 cold with a lvl 4 scorch....my thinking was surely it wouldn't produce a scorch due to cold being first plus the scorch being just edible to breed from , wrong again more scorches.....I have to LOL at it all....it's like when you want something you can't get it and when you don't......haha, you know the rest
Sigh... I'm on level 22 and have had my 3rd island forever, but it's still showing up in my list of goals I need to obtain? It's obviously a game error. Any ideas on how to resolve? Thanks.... My game name is casey4140
Crossed fingers worked!!! (I think). Put a brand new scorch and cold and now have a 12 hour wait!! Could be another bluey......hope not since I have like 50 of them already. Hope it's the darn frosty....
12hrs but so does the blue fire and cold cause I got all excited on my last 12hr when I bred a blue and frostfire but got a cold
Yeah, had that a few times with fire and bluey Now i always wait and then get excited Yesterday got a 48 from fire storm but i have already all the king dragons
Frostfire dragon? I haven't been on the forum in a few days, so I'm just now getting caught up on the Frostfire dragon. Last I heard, it was a rumor. But it's real? Also, was it announced...or is it more of a secret find? I know the Iceberg was formally announced, but I haven't seen anything for the Frostfire. Thanks!
I was skeptical when I read about it too. Figured it was a hoax since there is no egg in the game. But after looking at a few people's islands, it is real. Kind of looks like a cold but with more funky colors. I think BF is playing some games with us. I have tried cold/FF with zero luck since thats what worked for most people. But, did get a 12 hour today finally with cold/scorch. Could be a frosty or cold/bluey. I'll let you know in a few hours!

The only advantage I've found with the epic is that you can breed twice at the same time. In terms of getting rare dragons more easily I've found it to be a bunch of poop (I'd prefer to use a different word )...... Good luck @dmdaily!!!! I wish I had enough gems to spead up my cave and see what I got but my son is notorious for wasting them.
It is real... You are on my GC friend list, so visit me at GC id jheuvel. and the "rumour" that it is simply a cold with different colourscheme is also correct. On page 169 or somewhere round there on this forum you find correct pictures. Keep sending those gems and you already know I alway return the favor... Good luck with the frostfire!
Don't overfocus on fire and storm as only combination for sun. As with the rainbow especially, some combinations work better for one player than for the other. So keep trying and refresh your dragons every once in a while. Sometimes a new young and fresh dragon works miracles (cannot believe I am actually saying this.... LOL) especially if you have the breeding island.
