Also, before anyone gets scared off Mene admitted in the main thread that while playing the tutorial a few times the in-game manual was left unread. The tutorial is nice to get your feet wet but the manual is where every rule is spelled out in detail. If you're a visual learner the mechanics will also make a lot more sense once you see the board game's pieces in motion. I posted a link to a review of the game on thedicetower's YouTube channel in the main thread but you can always search the web and get a result that way. Actually after being beaten by the AI a few times, you should grab the basic of how to deal with the game. Just remember: 1. Even though it is branded as a 4X game, removing your opponent(s) from the game is not the goal (even though there is a remote possibility that you can), earning more VP than others is the goal. Bear this in mind and it should not be any more complex than Stone Age (which is great fun on its own) . 2. It is one of the few game of which one single (sorry cannot help to stress enough) misstep causes a great deal of trouble afterwards, but losing a battle is not so much a big deal, due to the limits of time. 3. Response to what you opponent(s) do is very important, unfortunately in the current implementation, it is almost impossible to know when playing online.
