The new Transformers game is actually quite a bit of fun. Nice deal on that and also a perfect illustration of why I rarely buy EA games on launch. ;)

Still much better than Gameloft games, whose lites are bigger than some of EA's full versions.

Dead Space, still the game that gives the best experience on my iPhone for me, is around half the size of Fast Five, which I deleted 2 days after buying and completing the game.

Just look at the lite version size of Splinter Cell, Spiderman, etc.

But yeah, overall all game filsize is getting bigger most likely due to retina resolution.

Yeah im not really complaining, i want more 3d games full of content... just can't keep them on my iPad when I'm not actively playing it regularly.

Only takes a few minutes to synch one back on though so no big deal... as long as my save got backed up properly..

Sweet! Time to buy Transformers. I was going to buy it at launch but then I asked myself, "What are the chances that this will go on sale when Independence Day comes around?". My answer was "Really likely". Looks like I was right. :D

    Yes yes yes.

I was waiting and waiting. Love it on the iPad.

But I also got the game of life which FINALLY hit 99 cents!!

    And Battleship, also 99 cents!!

Quite stellar. I keep thinking ea cannot out do themselves, and then they do.

I've been WAITING... and WAITING... for Dead Space HD to get to 0.99. Insta-bought.

I don't quite understand the logic of some people complaining so much. I bought NBA Jam HD at the 'sale' price of 4.99 during the Memorial Day sales, while the NBA Playoffs were in full speed. I really don't care that it's 0.99 now since I feel I got my money's worth out of the game, and am glad to support all the efforts put into bringing such a fantastic title to the iOS. I don't know, maybe I just think differently...

Fifa 11 > FTS? Come on, BTT... sigh...

I assume you haven't played Bruce Lee: Dragon Warrior? Wouldn't blame you, many people haven't gotten a chance to experience it. A 3D fighter which requires actual strategy on the iOS, very reminiscent of Virtua Fighter - definitely recommend you check it out if you're interested in fighters. It's gotten great reviews as well :)

I'd have to agree with you that FTS > Fifa '11 and Bruce Lee > MK3. Not such a huge gap though, I suppose.

Agreed completely! Bruce Lee: Dragon Warrior is a must-have for anyone who loves quality fighting games on iOS. :D

FIFA plays better. I like FTS a more personally because of how well the multiplayer works over GC. That's always the most important part of a game for me in games that should have it.

I've actually beat entire campaign on the hardest difficulty for BL: DW. It seems like there's a lot of strategy to the game at first, but once you figure a few things out about the game, there really isn't too much at all. Once again, the multiplayer factor wins it for me with UMK3, plus the sheer amount of characters/content.

    Ready for Volt?

Yep. FIFA 11 beats FTS by a mile.

Perhaps the gap isn't that large on FTS/Fifa... i've tried Fifa 11 during its initial stages (before the patches rolled out) and while I felt it was incredibly laggy, I thought the game was a huge step up from the previous years' versions.

The fact that a) i'm incredibly happy with FTS and b) I can't deal with Fifa's abnormally and inexcusably large file size demand will help me save my 0.99c here though, and would rather spend it on BFBC2 or another game.

I can't stand UMK3 though. Perhaps only someone who never played or liked the MK games could remotely enjoy this game - it just feels, and LOOKS completely out of line and frankly, is an insult to the franchise. Sweetening up the backgrounds doesn't justify crapping on the character models and looks which fans have come to adore over the years.

I definitely disagree. FIFA has the eye candy award, fts the fun award. FIFA lasted 10 mins on my iPad.

Hey, I've been wanting the Sims 3 game stuff, but the price held me back. Now that they are all .99, I'm asking whether the PC version is better than the iphone/ipad version?

I'll be playing it on iPad due to the larger screen, but I'm just asking whether the PC version is more worth it or what.

I seriously wish we could demo paid apps.....

FTS is the best, especially with new update... Anyway, from EA games tonight I'll probably get either NBA Jam or Dead Space :)
