Coming soon more. Update: Evhacon returns to the App Store with version 1.1, about all the changes I'll tell you later. Update - new:
has to be sarcastic, lol. Unless they polished the hell out of this game, it looks like trash based on the early videos. We'll see I supposed!
I remember playing this when it first can out. Considering ,at that time, it was developed by only two people (I think), it looked pretty good. The movement controls needed work as they were quite poor. I think lock picking could have been implemented better to be a little more fun and challenging. Good luck to the devs on this next release!
Developer Alright folks, I did not expect this to be posted so soon considering that I'm still working on the game. I had originally planned to release it by Christmas but I didn't make it in time. Evhacon has been fully self financed and mostly developed by myself with the support of a programmer. Being an independent development, it took me about 1 year to create this free patch. From an artistic point of view, the characters and most of the animations have been entirely redone. New scenarios have been created along with new quests. From a technical point of view, the controls have changed. I got rid of the second joystick and created an easier and more accurate way of controlling the character's movements. The combat system has changed as well, from random attacks to combo moves. The whole interface (menus) has been optimized for smaller screens. Buttons are bigger, text is bigger and easier to read. Ingame cutscenes are played properly this time with no overlapping text, npcs are not just posers, they interact with other npcs, chatting/whacking each other to add more realism and action to the game. There is a character creation window at start, it's not 100% customizable but you can choose your face. The game looks even better then before, it's easier to play, there's more content, new quests. The price is going to drop from 2.99 to 0.99 upon release date. I'm estimating this late January 2015. Here's a sneak peak if you'd like to check out what's been done http://www.facebook.com/Evhacon I don't expect to join the apple mainstream anytime soon, and I don't expect my game to be acclaimed by toucharcade or anything. The obstacles during these past few years have been many, but I haven't given up because I'm confident that what I've created by myself at its current quality is quite the achievement. And not many developers aim to quality in this new mobile market, most of them aim to quantity (and clones of clones). To me it's never been about making money. Merry Christmas, -Peter
So just the characters, animations, scenarios, controls, combat system, and interface have changed? Well as long as it is just small tweaks. Oh and the game is now about a goat farmer in Wisconsin who is raising three kids after their spouse leaves the family to join a commune of monks in Arizona....but really everything else is the same.... Oh and it now is text based..... And in Spanish....but really the core game is the same.....
