The game itself I guess is a fast paced arcade shooter dodging bullets and enemies jumping between floors. Your gun changes depending on how well your doing. I don’t think it’s something I’ll give a lot of time but just thought I’d say about it for anyone interested. Hoodin Well-Known Member Jan 29, 2016 54 7 8 #3 Hoodin, Sep 19, 2019 I may be a dummy, but I couldn’t even finish the tutorial. I was getting way too frustrated. I tried for 10 minutes and deleted the game. Royce Well-Known Member Mar 22, 2011 4,240 180 63 #4 Royce, Sep 22, 2019 Yeah no idea what’s going on. I was asked to pick up an item with seemingly no way to pick it up. Finally after running back and forth over it a hundred times and rolling across it and jumping on it over and over, it was just randomly picked up. Now there is no instruction on what to do next. So on to the next game I suppose. Hoodin likes this. Seespottakeapoop Active Member Dec 20, 2010 25 1 3 #5 Seespottakeapoop, Sep 22, 2019 Swipe up on the left side of the screen. It’s the same as talking to npcs. I’m guessing that’s the “action/interact” button. Hoodin likes this. Somehow I found it enjoyable even tho I’m not usually a fan of bullet hell or even reflex/action game in general.... I just love the random wacky guns and roguelike structure. Now I wish we can get Enter The Gungeon ported to iOS.... bx59 Well-Known Member Dec 2, 2016 238 116 43 #7 bx59, Oct 28, 2019 It's weird that I can't properly play this game on my mac now since I'm so used to the auto-shooting. I'm seeing it as a bullet hell rather than a shmup, and I'm definitely not complaining since I receive my daily dose of action from Dead Cells. This little gem is there when my controller is not around. Very highly recommended. gnomeDasher likes this. Though not surprised to say its highly “mobilised”. That’s in the respects that it’s auto shoot, auto change gun, and dodges use a slow down time kind of mechanic thingy (so you can select more accurately where to dodge to). That said, it all works rather well for mobile. I still wish it was full blown gungeon of course, but it’s not bad. A shame it’s locked behind a monthly pay because there’s very few other games that I want on arcade (knew this since before arcade even launched). also highly recommend this one. edit: that said, it’s a freaking frustrating game. anthony78 Well-Known Member Nov 13, 2015 3,128 703 113 #9 anthony78, Feb 10, 2020 What annoys me is that the controls on a physical controller are like a dual stick shooter. The touch controls aren’t. And there’s absolutely no reason for it. There are a lot of DSS games on mobile that work perfectly so no excuses on this one. yankeeblue000 Well-Known Member Aug 29, 2016 644 36 28 #10 yankeeblue000, Feb 11, 2020 I like the touch controls better than the controller. It feels more intuitive after some practice of course. Not surprisingly in that this was meant to be played primarily with touch controls I think. Cool little game though. I like hard and fast games like that and because of the „random encounters“ between the stages, there‘s new stuff to be found even for beginners like me, who don‘t get very far yet. bx59 Well-Known Member Dec 2, 2016 238 116 43 #13 bx59, Nov 13, 2020 Big update, patch notes available >> https://www.reddit.com/r/exitthegungeon/comments/jtgt5k/the_hello_to_arms_update_is_now_live/ Godofawesome02 Member Aug 11, 2013 6 1 1 #14 Godofawesome02, Feb 28, 2021 Will the game ever be available for purchase beyond Apple Arcade? metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #15 metalcasket, Feb 28, 2021 Nope, unfortunately. There's not been a situation where an Apple Arcade title has lost its AA exclusivity (on mobile) yet, so there's no telling what may happen IF that ever happens. Positive thing is if Enter the Gungeon ever makes it to iOS, it'll be a regular app. Godofawesome02 likes this.
