This iPad-like working on Window 7 and that could rival the iPad.

Some technical feature (for further detail go to the website: http://www.exopc.com/en/exopc-slate.php) :

    Memory: 2 GB DDR2 - 2048 MB PC5400 DDR2 667Mhz

    Screen: 8,9 inches, 1024x600 px

Storage: 32 GB and a SD/MMC card reader

Network: Wifi, Bluetooth and wired Network

Port: 3 USB ports, Audio IN/OUT, LAN + VGA

You can get a ExoPC for 599 USD/609 CAD which is as a 32 GB iPad.

Here you have a comparison table with the ExoPC, the iPad and the Archos9:

I think it worth the check out.

I honestly doubt the iPad's gonna be that much more, especially with 3G. The reported battery life is always way less than it actually is. And nah, I wouldn't call it a clone. This thing actually does shit that the iPad should but doesn't.

As far as battery is concerned, if the iPad's 10 hours is exaggerated, then the 4 hours from ExoPC might also be exaggerated. So whatever the actual battery life is, iPad will be getting more than twice of ExoPC ;)

And I still think of it as a clone with better spec'd hardware trying to steal some of iPad's sales. The better hardware comes at the cost of battery life and I'm still having doubts about that screen. Doesnt look as good as iPad's but cant be sure until someone gets a hands on with this.

At that this point in time, I don't think any company can rival Apple's touch technology.

Actually Apple has a history of underestimating their battery life. Tests show the standby time to almost always be longer than what Apple says. I agree with your general sentiments that companies usually exaggerate specs, but probably not Apple with their battery life.

But yeah, this is just another lame clone. Similar to the millions of 'iPhone-killer'.
