    Quicksilver.

It is hands down one of, if not the best software written for Mac OS X.

    Oh and also, Keynote.

Way, way, way better than Powerpoint.

Oh, I just looked at your list. I totally agree F.lux is a life changer. But it is cross platform (≠ Mac only.)

Good one. That's also cross platform as of last year :p but it certainly does qualify as indispensable.

I'm using Lastpass: How good is 1Password?

I love F.lux too. Discovered it the other day and was amazed.

I have not used Lastpass so I can't compare. All I know is I like 1Password enough to recommend to every Mac (and now Windows) user. It has all the features you would expect. Stores passwords in a encrypted keychain file, generates strong passwords, provides bookmarklets for easy access from any browser. It also stores software serials and such (even can be imported from App Shelf files) secure notes, credit card and banking info, names and address for quickly filling out forms. It has a great iPhone/Pad/Pod Touch companion app to sync with. One of my favourite features is that the keychain file can be unlocked from any browser so you can access your passwords even from computers that don't have 1Password installed. How's that for a wall of text endorsement?

Oh, and shortcut keys. Signing into Facebook by simply pressing +\ is pretty sweet. It also prevents phishing as it only auto fills the fields for recognized URLs.

I could never get into 1Password, the idea of not actually knowing my passwords by heart doesn't appeal to me at all. I've never had the problem of being hacked into or forgetting my password, so I don't see a reason to change a habit of a lifetime.

I use Facebook Notifications, Awaken, Dropbox, DaisyDisk, Bowtie, MediaRage, Skitch, The Unarchiver, AppZapper, CarbonCopyCloner, Pages, Thunderbird... not all Mac exclusive but I wouldn't be without them. I also had Pixelmator for a while but it sucks compared to Photoshop so I felt forced to upgrade.

Oh, and Playback! The #1 choice for streaming content to my PS3.

    Applejack
    AppCleaner
    Growl
    Perian
Air Video Server - to connect to my AppleTV, has to be used with the AirVideo iOS app, but live stream converts pretty much any video file format for free, uses your iOS device as an AirVideo interlay and beams it to your Widescreen TV flawlessly. You can also do realtime scrubbing using your AppleTV remote, and multitask out of the iOS app and it will continue to stream in the background.
    Dropbox
    VLC
    Soundcloud
    Transmission
Pages - I did everything I could to avoid using Microsoft Office when I switched to mac back in 2000, first using Mellel, then finally Pages, and I find Pages to be completely user friendly as well as a robust word processor.

Oh yes, Growl and VLC too. Couldn't survive without those!

Kinda off-topic: does anyone know how to prevent Pages from automatically turning URLs into active links? It really bugs me having my documents full of blue text. I can disable them one at a time as they occure but I can't find an option to prevent it completely.

Open Inspector, click the second to last tab showing an arrow and click on the checkbox that says "make all hyperlinks inactive".

EDIT: Nevermind, that doesn't seem to work for me now. I swear it worked for me before.

Yeah that's what I thought initially too, but now it's only per individual URL. Sometimes I paste them in and it doesn't activate... I'm not sure how I do that, I think it's when I paste it into the middle of text rather than at the end or something.

Can I also add that the native document application Preview in OSX is very underrated. I absolutely love the layout, ease of use and annotation options when reading pdfs.

It is cross-platform, but last I checked Windows version was half-baked-crap.

If you use solely Mac OS / iOS hardware, definitely 1Password. If you also use Windows, I think LastPass would be better.

BBEdit if you edit code. Fantastic code editor.

I like iPhoto a lot, but I'm a lot less of a fan of iMovie. Is it just my Mac, or does it take eons just to launch the app and get it to read in videos from iPhoto? Most of my video editing is of videos I've made on my iPhone 4 and my still camera, which get imported into iPhoto. Last night I launched iMovie to edit one and it took perhaps 20 minutes just to launch and get all the iPhoto videos loaded/thumbnails generated. It's pretty utterly ridiculous. Is there any way around this?
