There are a few games out there where I catch myself humming the tunes, even while doing something else. Jared Emerson-Johnson did some insane work for Sam & Max, and Tomá Dvořák (aka Floex) created a Score which exactly reflects the steampunk atmosphere of this game. So in my book, Music can immerse the player into the game world, but it´s a hard job to do it well. I had the same experience with "Jelly Defense". When I listen to those tunes, I can exactly picture those creatures in my head. It perfectly fits the world they created with their Jelly Universe. Yes, it´s weird and sounds like it would be from another world, but that´s exactly what they were trying to achieve with this. At the same time its cute, and thus reflects the characters in this game. Maybe it´s just me, I´m known for listening to a lot of non mainstream stuff (last Album I preordered was "Bad As Me" by Tom Waits), but I really enjoy those works a lot. So what is your opinion on this? Is Music just an annoyance for you in a game? If not, what are your favorite Game Tracks?
