Exactly. I still don't care about local multiplayer since nobody plays it locally. But if Gameloft, who isn't nearly as big as EA can have online multiplayer in all their games, why cant EA? What the hell is that? It's boring playing the AI over and over. I want to play real people too.
1) I'm pretty sure the whole of Gameloft which is mostly or fully dedicated to mobile platforms is bigger than the small mobile division of EA. 2) Have you played Gameloft multiplayer? It's laggy, and to be honest who needs multiplayer when it doesn't offer a full enough experience? 3) Implementing multiplayer which would allow for a playable full football match is not easy. In fact, I suspect the main delay for reckless Racing was trying to make non laggy multiplayer and work with the newly unveiled mechanics of the game Center. EA may have been focusing on other projects, as well as getting out games monthly on time in this summer market, and having to then get FIFA out within days of October the 1st, and the Game Center having to be added would have meant a rushed, bad game like the last one, and instead have taken it slower, getting the single player, ai, graphics, teams, modes etc perfect and then having time after the hectic release date to do multiplayer.
I think EA will be concentrating more on the single player as that's where most people will be spending there time. I hardly ever play multiplayer on football games because of 2 things. Lag, in most iPhone football games lag is terrible and ruins multiplayer. Also opponents quitting half way through is annoying, in shooters etc this doesn't matter as much because there are more people playing but in football games there are two people so it's a huge problem. I think concentrating on single player was the right thing to do because it's the most important thing in a football game by a long shot (Excuse the pun)
This looks AMAZING everyplayer is true FACE that is nice but i wish we had like if u no game BACKBREAKER that what is on FIFA10 on xbox360 that what i wish to see before match on iphone i love that view and shaking screen while running that is AMAZING i hope they add this
FIFA will always have something over other games because of Manager Mode, I just love being able to buy and sell world class players and go through the ups and downs of managing a team on a weekly basis, no matter how lackluster the experience may be I enjoy it non the less.
Well hopefully they change the UI, the buttons are WAY too big and just ugly looking. Hopefully they change them to smaller transparent circles with icons of kicking/passing etc on them. And hopefully the gameplay is more smooth. Turning back and tackling was awkward in Fifa 10.
Hmm I guess that's true but the single player better be superb! So far my wishlist is more smooth turn backs. When I was going straight and wanted to turn behind it felt awkward. Same with tackling and moving in general, it felt very awkward. Also the ball would always go high even if I barely held the power gauge long. I hope they change the UI, because the screenshots were ugly, looks like they went on paint, drew a circle and then drew a rectangle inside the circle and put pass/shoot/through in the middles. The positioning map on the bottom centre could be a bit smaller. But the screenshots showed much improved graphics so that's a major plus already. Let's hope the UI/AI and animations/general gameplay are overall more smooth and fluent. I'm glad they implemented the 360 degree movement from the console so it must have more solid gameplay. I'm really looking forward to it because I can't buy sports games from gameloft. They barely have any teams and knowledge about sports. EA does have a small division but they have all the official licenses and more experience developing sports games. I'll of course buy the PS3 version of FIFA 11 but when I'm going on a long trip or just waiting somewhere this game would be great. The new SIMS ambitions game is great so I have hope in EA.

Never expected this to be out so soon, I guess I should have... Seeing as most FIFA games come out around October.
