@jpgold It is mainly online game.. BUT in offline mode you can play Local Multiplayer with your Friends
And in the campaign you will meet other players. Or you can challenge them in the Boss fight leaderboard.. Game is still in a development. So, We are still thinking about more tournaments or Facebook friends etc..

- You can link your Facebook to synchronize your account across all devices and use your profile picture ingame
- New Rank Up system - level all the way to 99th level with bonus reward for each rank
- Visually Improved Bosses
- Stunning new GUI effects in game
- Fixed functionality of Defense Cards
- Bug fixes including the aiming line, gem collecting on the map, double coins, etc.

The huge Multiplayer Challenge update is here with extra rewards!

- There are two types of challenges. There’s the global challenge where you fight against all the other fighters. Then there’s the one where you fight against your Facebook Friends. When you invite more friends you all get extra rewards.
- Both challenge modes share a single Leaderboard, so it’s best to play both to get on top spots more quickly.
- We’ve also redesigned the map screen, which is now easier to navigate.
- As the work on Fling Fighters continue and new features are being added, new bugs appear. We’ve fixed the majority of the bugs and crashes you reported. Thank you for your help and keep up the good work!

 

We want to release Fling Fighters this year, could very well be November already.
