Thanks I will have to do that, it's too bad they can't just fix it. It worked fine on the old iOS store

Okay, Gnome Escape is simply THE BEST. I mean, the people who run it are class acts. Recently, they've been very quick about approving reviews. I had a batch accepted, except for one. I sent them a screenshot and they promptly apologized (no need, really) and I received the points.

Here's the awesome part. I replied to their email thanking them and I mentioned how much I appreciate their service.

A REAL person replied to THAT email with the following:

    Hi David,
    #
Thank you so much for helping to spread the word about Gnome Escape. #Please contact us if we can ever be of assistance to you.
    #
I've attached some free app codes (Midway Arcade and Tetris) because we are very grateful to have you as part of our community.

how awesome is that? You have a problem with FAS you're sent to an automated help desk. I don't know how they pull it off; the individual attention. I've noticed they have the free hits again; the other day it was a really nice iPad memo program with handwriting recognition and dropbox and cloud sync.

In the meantime, I'm no longer getting spins for FAS on my sevice. I frequently complain about a lack of personal customer service, from devs to Apple and everything in-between...I think now I'll quit all other services. There is always an issue of trust raised, what with device profile installations and whatnot; they've shown me that they are the most trustworthy outfit out there.

And I don't leave shill reviews. I call crap just that when it's warranted.

That would overload my hard drive. I've known about hiding apps forba long time, but first, they have to be deleted, and second, I don't have enough free space on my PC to keep even all the good apps on. If Apple is going to pimp their app selection, they best fix the infrastructure (and iTunes). I only have this problem on my ipad running 6.0+, the geniuses in Cupertino must have been more concerned with having a sexy appstore that gobbles up menory than having a working service. And to think, they want to put everything in the cloud. It's like a friend of mine who sprung for iTunes match...it crashes on him instead of working.

Why are their poop emojis in that post? There was no " foul" language.

+1 to everything you have said! Their support is fabulous and were very helpful when I first started using the service. I have redeemed multiple apps from them and they have improved radically when it comes to the time it takes for your reviews to go through. Used to take almost a day, but now it's almost a matter of hours. Recommend the service to anyone. ;)

I think you would've figured it out by now, in case you haven't, don't install anything from free gooms section.

They're not giving free spins anymore at FAS, are they?

I won't think I'll stop using FMA (great service) or FAS (really good as well, and I have tons of money there), but you just made me go for GE. If one cares that much about customers it has to be a good service. That is the publicity everyone wants, but they go further and actually do something. Congratulations Gnome Escape!

So on the iPhone, the only item that comes up as a sponsored download is The Tribez HD. This has been the ONLY option for DAYS... several long days. Every time I go to download, select the 'okay' button.. and get "We're Sorry!" message no longer available.

Anyone know what might be preventing new apps from appearing? Have even gone through to clear cache, erase... start all over (the certificate brings backs the credits).

So to further test, I have two other iOS devices... and all of them are stuck with NO apps for days and days... Can't get close to 3000 to redeem for a $10 card.

The service has slowed down now that Christmas has passed. Be patient.

Tribes HD is ipad only, so don't worry about trying to download it with your phone.

I am 30 points away on one device and 200 on another. I check a few times a day. You'll fill it up by Friday, I'd imagine.

Uhmm... you need to download AND review the apps and get 2000G for 10 apps... that's around $1.70. Is that worth the time and effort?

Yes and no. You get 150 points for download paid apps occasionally (without paying for them). If you never completely deplete your gnomy hoard it won't seem loke too much work. Also, you might not want to go there constantly. I had given up for awhile, when I came back there was a whole new slew of apps and I earned enough in one day to pick up a bunch of stuff. Also got 250 points for downloading a pretty usefull memo app for my iPad. I wouldn't have known it was there if I didn't visit the full site.

It's not like FAD FMA or FAS where you're constantly visiting to see if there are new sponsors. It's takes a more laid back approach. Most apps up for review will stay there for a while, so it's the type of site you can just check out now and then.

I tried today but never got points just for downloading? You don't get Gooms for every downloaded app.

Short answer... no. But that's old fart me speaking. If you're a youngin' with more time than money, I say go for it.

  20. Well, technically, it seems the better services pay about half of minimum wage at best, so in those terms, it is far better to work at McDonalds than to do any of them.

GE may give out slightly lower points than its competitors, but it is the most solid and reliable, and best of all, lets you pick from almost every single game in the appstore which is nice. It's not a fast way to make money, but it is the most consistant way.

As to whether it is worth it, if it is a hobby and you like doing this stuff, or if you are young and have no money or are unemployed, then it is a great way to get apps you want. But GE can get to be a grind at times, so it's best just to do a couple a day, and not do too many, or you will get burned out.

Anyway, I like it, but if they had like twice the apps, I too think it would feel like a grind and a chore. Right now, I view it as a simple way to try out some interesting apps, and get rewarded every week with one or two apps that I really want that have recently launched.
