Its obvious to me that every single email I have recieved from them was personally written by a real person at a computer who actually read MY email. The userbase must still be pretty small, because they get back to me quicky and NEVER with a form letter. It's the type of customer support that years ago was taken for granted, but now you usually have to pay for. Hell, their support is faster, more knowledgeable, and friendlier than Apples's (by a longshot)...even though I recently dropped over 400 bucks for my Mini.
This is exactly what elevates GE above the other services in my opinion. Yeah, having to review apps takes a bit more work, but I only have to bother visiting the website twice a week and know I won't have missed anything. Plus I can plan! Banana Kong looks tempting, I'll get it on Monday when GE updates! The "blink and you miss it" style of other sites like FMA leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
Ask the sponsors, not FMA. A lot of people forget that the sponsors decide how many downloads they are willing to pay for and when to make the apps available on these sites. If the sites had their way, there would be a never ending stream of apps.
Kind of sucks that FAS doesn't have daily spins anymore. My iPod Touch 2nd gen has 52k points and only 10% of the apps can be downloaded since most need iOS 4.3 (this iTouch only goes up to 4.0).
I wonder if gnome escape will ever add iTunes/amazon gift cards in exchange of gooms. Say, a $0.99 app costs 1250 so they could give out a $10 iTunes gift card at 12500 which I would happily save for. Lets hope they do keep adding apps at this rate, it's a really nice service with an excellent support. They replied back in 15 and 35 minutes to me!
From what I've read it won't work. It gives you iOS6 features, but it reports itself as iOS 3.x or something really low. Here's the quote from their FAQ: Also, it seems the 1 app that did download gave me 3 spins instead of 4. Same thing happening on my iPhone 4. My iPad mini can't get any spins after trying 3 different apps.
i hope not, they'll go out of biz faster then you can say how cool it is... plus it keeps all the scammers or vultures away. a good thing never lasts seen most of the gift card etc give away stopping or going out of biz. i remem the past 15-20 years ago along with the free internet, they also had online slots for $100 cash checks or different $ amounts for giftcards sponsored by ads etc. it didn't last long on the slots as they went out of biz with in 1 year. in the end i ended up with $1,000 in cash i like ge the way it is, just hope they can get the sponsors for the paid free apps back weekly like in the past.
That was kind of different. That was when you could make some absurb amount of money from banner ads and then BOOM! The internet bubble burst with pretty much most internet sites failing. Now it's like a fraction of a cent per banner ad.
Yes, thanks for that, I have got one 10 buck iTunes voucher from them once, in only at about 1600 now, saving for another one, wish I was in a place where the people weren't so lazy, I have friends here, but they are Indonesian, currently I am in Indonesia, people here are too lazy to even do gnomeescape, can't wait till I move.
So somehow I got 2 spins today. I am assuming FAS are back with their 2 free slots I can't confirm because I got only one device. I guess I will find out tomorrow.
