I always use my gooms for apps I'm not sure of. I picked up Reaktor today, a physical percussion drum synth (the app uses the mic in your device to pick up varying degrees of force exerted on...well, whatever surface you have it resting on).
Speaking of which, is there a way to get the same app twice in GE? Did someone say something about converting iTunes GC to Amazon on the last page?
iTunes money -> download paid app on FMA -> Get points on FMA -> redeem amazon GC I don't think it'll workout unless there's more paid apps to download on FMA, might work with FP, since they add a paid app every now and then! * I once bought the same app twice on GE!
Same here. The only one I'd give a shot at would be FAS because of the devices, and you still manage to get sponsors in a fairly okay basis. GE is amazing to get any app from the App Store, and it won't take too long. FMA has like zero apps these days.
FMA is just irregular, but you can still earn enough from them gradually. I saw 4 apps yesterday: Castle Age HD (already installed so no credit for me ), Digs, Bubble Bash HD (couldn't get credit, dunno why) and Little Warrior. It's not too shabby. FreeAppParty is kinda fun, the whole daily contest and random points.
I haven't tried this but maybe if you go to an app you didn't buy and copy the Get With Gooms link and replace the id# with the app you want?
Nowadays, the GE database seems to include EVERYTHING (it wasn't that way at the beginning). Sure, you can't get GC, but there is always SOME app you could use. I just used GE to pick up Reaktor, a virtual drum machine by Beepstreet to add to my "music studio on an idevice" that I'm attempting to build. Which is, by the way, a lot more expensive than games. Which is why I don't worry about game prices too much. I have multiple folders of music apps; 3 of them (apps, not folders) cost 90 bucks together. When was the last time you spent 90 bucks on 3 games? Then again, there are people who've spent that much climbing turd mountain...excuse me, "drag racing" in CSR.
@squashy It was for the slenderman and simply write app, now I realize that I've bought it with the redeem code and then again with gooms! *violentpunk is a pathological liar! violentpunk hates himself for lying to squashy
Dude don't buy Auria. I've easily spent over $200 on that app, and looking forward to spending a lot more. The music app page on my iPad is worth way more then the iPad itself by now. But relatively speaking it's all really cheap (yay for the AppStore!). I'd never spend $20-$50 bucks on some IAP on a game tho, cos....it's just a game. I look at them the same way I look at books or movies. It's just a some hours of entertainment. On a music app/IAP sure, but those are tools that are going to be as useful in 10+ years as they are now. The same thing goes for a lot of other stuff on AppStore I'm sure. Edit: Btw, it's "Impaktor". Maybe we'll see NIs Reactor on iOS some day tho eh? That would be pretty awesome
@chris1a Wow, $200 on a music app? That is some dedication to music. I rarely even listen to songs even on my music folder. I do like photography though, but kind of feel the photo apps on itunes are somewhat lacking like in iphoto. But good to see tha you and others like Greyskull are appreciating the numerous music and sound apps on itunes, cool thing with an idevice is that one can use it in so many different ways. That is hella cool.
Auria is amazing. What is it...32 tracks or 64? Anyway, it is, in the form of the app, what me and my band in the late 90's had to spend thousands on...a full recording studio. Not exactly a perfect comparison of course, because I had soundproofing + and audio engineer handling the mixing, but still... I've looked at Auria; frankly I don't need that much power right now. Nanostudio with its 16 tracks using other apps in conjuction is, as of now, good enough for me. But, like I said, 200 still amazes me. When I recorded, there were no multitrack recording programs that I'm aware of; maybe a few strictly for electronic music. Home studios were only owned by millionaires; recording was fed onto DAT; a 64 track recording studio would cost a lot more than a 32 track one; etc. On the positive side, only bands with some experience would record an album because, unless you were signed to a label like New Found Glory (I was in the living room while they, well...decided to be a band), you had to have experience and a decent fan base before you recorded. You had to save up from gigs and concerts to pay the cost of recording, after all. Back on topic, I'm 4000 points away from a 15 itunes GC on FAS. I think I'll call it quits after that.
What's the best alternative for FreeMyApps? I remember when it only took like 1 app to install to get a nice 99c game like Angry Birds but now you need to install 100 apps to get a $15 giftcard.. And there's not even 100 apps to install until you wait a few months..
Damn, GE customer service is the BEST!! They just gave me some credits I didn't get some time ago, and I didn't say anything about that (grear surprise!). With FAS I lost a game once (I had to buy it twice because the first time I didn't get the code), and they said that they couldn't give me the credits I lost.
GE GE is the best, simplest, with A+ service... u do some app reviews per week. gain enough points to get almost any free $1 app in the appstore or save ur points for higher priced apps also they sometimes hand out codes for paid apps you can review too! plus you don't have to lie or pump A+ reviews for bad apps or sucker iap games to get credits on GE!
