Neat. :). One question. This is going to have a D-pad for movement? Not tap to move right?

We have implemented a pretty cool gesture control scheme. The game can be played entirely with simple swiping and tapping. This will be the primary control scheme.

There will be an option for players to select which control scheme they prefer. We will also have the option of on-screen button control. Left and right arrows to move, 3 buttons (attack, jump, block).

Personally I like the gesture control scheme better, but until you try it out it is difficult to really tell which is better.

    What do you guys think?

Sounds interesting. I like the controls. Can't wait to test them. I wonder what controls I will use if the gesture controls are implemented right :)

When we first started developing we had the button control scheme as the primary. As we continued playtesting, we felt that sometimes you missed the button that you were trying to press, which lead to mistakes being made during gameplay.

With the gesture controls you never "miss" a button that you are trying to press and the characters feel much more in control and gameplay more fluid

Sounds a bit of getting use to?
Will there be tutorials on the gesture controls? If not, we just guess what gestures do what?

It is fairly simple. There will be a first time user experience that will teach the controls. There aren't really gestures. I meant that you can control the characters without on screen buttons. It will be really comfortable

Sorry for the delay, it is not by choice. There is a strange bug in the game right now that leaves these purple trails when the characters move. The engineers are working to fix this issue, and once it is fixed we will record some gameplay footage to show you guys. Thanks for the patience

It does sound cool, but it could temporary bug the whole game if they don't fix it.
Picturing it in my head seems cool though.

The trails are these strange purple lines that cover the character's body. It doesn't look good at all. The team is working on this issue now and we hope to have it resolved very soon.

Please at this stage while you still can, change the vampire character either to something else or redesign it. Anyway, will keep an eye out for this, looks like it has a lot potential and if mp and controller support I would be very interested.

We are about 4 weeks from our soft launch.. Wait for the our new gameplay trailer to see Mercy (the Vampire) in action. She is a really unique character with very different ways of attacking. Give her a chance!

It could just be her art, wouldn't mind it if she was more "edgy. I do feel great about the other characters though :)

We modified Mercy. She has a gun in one hand and a bat in the other. She uses both the gun and the bat to attack her opponents. Check out the attachment.

Shorter skirt, some cleavage and a fedora as hat and sign me up ;)

I like your direction and maybe when I get to play her I would change my mind. As for the gun wouldn't it fit better with a one handed crossbow? Again artistic, the mechanic would be the same. Please keep me in mind for future beta testing :) and if it is half as good as the super smash bros count me in.
