Back in the days of words with friends, they had a rule where no moves in 24 hours was an automatic forfeit. They should bring that back.
Nice, glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. Any game that keeps records or ratings, your always going to have people who only care about their win/loss ratio. I think it's actually worse in this game because of the high profile leader board. Don't get me wrong, I love it and am working hard at getting a nice spot on there. Not having an auto forfeit feature kind of invalidates the leader board though, if all you have to do to prevent a loss is not finish the game.
I find most people finish the game if you play through the match with them rather than a prolonged match spanning a couple days. Not every time but mostly they finish it
I agree but I'm starting to see a pattern of people not finish. I usually like to play async but am pretty quick about making my moves. But I've had several games recently where my opponent would have like 100 wins/ 10 losses, so I'm thinking "great, I'm going to get my ass kicked". Then after the first turn I've managed to kill several of his units, they never play another turn. Now a 90% win ratio starts to make sense. All in all most players do the honorable thing and play the game to the end.
Yeah there a douche's on there no doubt. That said I beat a guy early on who had an epic win/loss ratio who commented afterwards and was a really good sport. I had about 10 games yesterday and 2 did not finish. Until its changed it might just have to be part of the experience
Good News I wrote to mode 7 support about the issue. They said they are aware of it and are going to implement a 2 week auto forfeit rule. Hopefully that will take away the incentive to abandon lost games. I'm very happy they a going to fix this.
Don't have emails enabled on my iPad, just left that to my iPod as I didn't want emails popping up every five mins wasting my precious battery life
Great game overall but multiplayer requires 2 fixes: - automatic forfeit if your opponent hasn't made a move in say 72 hours. - when challenged to a game, allow the player to reject the offer. EDIT: to make it clear, I still think this is game of the year for me so far. The single player itself is tremendous value and fun. So much variety.
The tourney set up in its current state sucks. I've tried to get feedback from Mode 7 on if its going to get tidied up with no response. Might have to tourney up from in here. Old school rules of winner plays on?
Sweet man. You and me to kick it off? What's your username? Ill challenge you in a jiffy. Be nice as I haven't played in a few weeks
