You cant beat getting sideways in the RR series ...man...this game looks to be fun as well, looking forward to it
Yeah, it's been approved and were just doing the whole marketing/ pr thing before release and getting it out in advance to reviewers etc .
Nah, you dont get access to promo codes until release (Like us as developers dont). But we can do advanced copies, it's just a bit of a long/ excrutiating install process in terms of getting it locked to only reviewer devices etc. So we've offered an exclusive preview to one site, and will send out advanced review copies just before release to others.
Quote from Dev: '' Since that video theres been a bunch of changes: - 2 of the levels changed. - Online Leaderboard with facebook and twitter interaction, - New Menu GUI, - Vehicles put into classes, - Lots of optimizations.'' They are also gonna upload a new video Monday as the video i posted on here is an old one
Hehe yeah, we'll be uploading a new video soon; just got one of our guys recording a quick video for you lot! However the controls arn't substantually different. As mentioned they are quite different (purposly), as we didn't want a carbon copy of other futuristic racing games and having the vehicles actually drift seemed a neat way of doing this. Will be interesting seeing what people make of the controls though... There fairly easy to change, so if it turns out people dont like them, then we can probarbaly alter them quite quickly in the next update .
Didn't this come out some time ago but was pulled? Infact, I made a thread about it here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=22828
Anyone who managed to buy it in the two hours it was out last time; no you will get it as an update . We were far to premature in our release last time and therefore decided to pull it for that reason and really spent some time polishing the game (4 months in fact). We are a student based company and how we go about releasing a game was a big learning curve; but it was a mistake that we have learnt from. Frog; our aim with the controls kind of feeds into the idea that the best games are easy to pick up and play, but difficult to master. In the video the guy was clearly struggling somewhat as he was new to the game, however was still able to keep up with some of the enemy AI in order to progress thru the game. But you really need to master the controls in order to come 1st. We felt this was important in order to make it a replayable and challanging experience in that the player cant do incredibally well first time; it should take some effort to come in 1st place...
this game looks quite good. i hope there's multiplayer! btw, I'm probably gonna do a comparison between this and speed forge. If you don't want me to do this then just object
Hi, Was this really necessary to post? This is not even out yet and you have the game buried and labeled a likely failure. The game looks nice and I hope it does well. Yes, it has competition in the appstore but most games have others like them and still succeed. I hope this one does too. There really is no need to be negative. David
sorry i'm putting this game down, i'll edit my post sometimes, i dotn think hard enoug before posting
