One thing I don't get in the last EP, is why Sansa was crying at the end looking at that ship... I didn't recognize the sigil on the sail, so maybe that's my fault, but still.
The mockingbird is Littlefinger's sigil. He ruined her marriage when she did not want to go with him, and she realized her mistake at not leaving when she had the chance. I liked this episode a lot as well. Slow start, but incredible ending. The chaos is a ladder speech was electric.
Last five minutes were damn good. Can't say I enjoyed the rest of the episode though. Only four episodes left this season .

Game of Game of Thrones If you haven't seen the SNL skit 'Game of Game of Thrones' - look it up and watch it. Way too funny!
That's a perfect explanation, thanks! I actually suspected as much, but wasn't quite sure. I am. I'm going through just as the series progresses, so generally I'm a step behind the show. It's a great way to expand on things that the series doesn't quite focus on enough.
what a great episode. imo, best of this season. and that's without seeing what's left of theon greyjoy
That was a pretty brutal ending scene. The storyline with the Dragon Girl always makes me laugh though. Jorah.
Yeah, even knowing what would happen, I still thought it was quite dramatic. And poor, poor Jorah. Brushed aside for something new and shiny. I think you can see the exact moment where Jorah's heart breaks. As someone not blessed great looking genes, I always hated Daario...
Oh you mean fantasy books, that tell stories of fully healthy homo sapiens that have sound and functional logical faculties in their minds like the rest of us but still for some bizarre and fully illogical reason are stuck in the same medieval age thousands of years after thousands of years, never succeeding to invent something more sophisticated than a catapult (for instance electricity, diesel engines, asphalt, light bulbs... or ipads for that matter) despite having thinking and wise wizards, alchemists and inventors that have held their professions for many generations? Auhm u know what i think im gonna pass on your offer and just watch it from time to time on tv. Feels the time invested that way is fair compared to what you get of it. Oh you mean fantasy books, that tell stories of... Oh you mean fantasy books, that tell stories of... Oh you mean fantasy books, that tell stories of... Sorry guys. I didnt mean to bash on fantasy lovers. We all have our cups of tea. I just took offense from how that guy above spammed his little suggestion...
I'll happily admit I read fantasy books I enjoy them as well but then again I read a bit of everything, I tried and couldn't really get into the game of thrones books though there were just too many characters for me to follow along with in truth I think the TV show actually did a brilliant job of making some sense out of such a confusing novel. I actually just watched yesterdays episode and it was another shocker I think they may have lost some watchers with that one.
Yeah you can see it's got to be the start of the end to him. He has no reason to be there without even the remote chance of actually having a romantic relationship with Dany. Talking to my my wife, who has read the books, Daario looks so different here than he did in the books. Dramatically so. Here he's like some weird Fabio. Spoilers below that I don't feel like spoiling out As to the scene, I was too close to season 3 in my procrastination with reading the book. I made the mistake of reading book 2 just before season 2 and I constantly compared the two. It really dampened the experience for me and I need to have at least a year between reading and watching. Going through season 2 when it launched on blu ray this year was a huge difference. In did not find myself remembering enough from the books to compare and nit pick again. Now, as to the Red Wedding... I wasn't surprised, I saw it coming and the whole lead up to it was really stupid. No duh Frey wasn't going to just let Robb completely screwing him over go unpunished. To put himself in such a vulnerable position like that with his unborn child and wife was so completely idiotic. Robb was selfish, arrogant and I also understand his was quite different in the books and was less about him thinking only with his loins and more about making a mistake and honoring what he believed in. I think I also disliked the actor. I never felt he was as good as the rest of the cast made him out to be. He doesn't hold a candle to many of the other actors. Plus, he's a twerp. Seriously. I feel most bad for Cat. She has suffered so much and it really angers me that she still has had to suffer so much and this was a horrible blow. Even though she was Catelyn Snark and was so callous to Jon (seriously, I don't remember her being THIS bad in the book?) she didn't deserve this. Now regarding the actress herself, holy crap has she had WAY too much plastic surgery. When she was trying to cry, her eyes looked like hamburgers, it made the whole moment so weird.
*** SPOILING S03E09 BELOW *** But Jorah stood loyally by Danerys side even when she was the Khalesi of Kahl Drogo, even when he found out of her unborn child. He probably loved her back then too but it was out of loyalty, service and honour that he stood by her. 'Cause he couldnt seriously expect to overthrow Kahl Drogo... So even if Danerys falls for this new guy, I think Jorah will suck it up and continue to serve her. You are missing an important point when you call Robb a fool for placing himself and his family under the hands of lord Frey, and that is the sacred oath of bread and salt. Once a lord has promised his protection over guests by offering them his bread and salt then he has entered the possibly most sacred oath and agreement that there is in Westeros. Im guessing it had never been broken before. In fact Frey took a huge risk by doing so because now he will be extremely despised by every lord in the realms. He probably had the guts to do this only under the Lannisters deal. Source: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Guest_right But another point is that Robb had no choice. Frey was the only remaining ally he could hope for to overtake Casterly Rock. He had already lost his own castle Winterfell, and the Greyjoys had overtaken most of his kingdom. Moving forward was his only alternative. I had no idea of the Red Wedding before i saw the episode. And even if there has been a few days now since i saw the episode im still doubting that i will continue watching the series anytime soon. It was simply too much :-(
