I've only recenetly got into OpenFeint but I have to admit I like seeing a game with support for it. Seems to make a game I am already interested all the more appealing. However I actually don't know anything about OpenFeint from a developers side and if there is a cost to use it in your code or not. So I can understand the reluctance for developers.
Not a silly question at all! Yes is the answer. The book is all in and working and we're just finalising the front-end logistics as well as doing some testing. At a guess, we submit in two weeks and then its down to Apple.
Beta beta! Just to let anyone following our progress - we're just about to enter our beta phase. Any TA members that are involved will be contacted in the next 24 hours. The Tin Man
I'm really liking what I see and I'm looking forward to the release of the first gamebook. I hope everything goes well with the beta!
I hope the beta testing goes well and whatever bugs there might be are squashed. Thanks to the new approval system it should go through very quickly too, right? (Ideally.) I was envisioning a pricepoint of somewhere in the $2.99-4.99 range. After having a terrific experience with the first Fighting Fantasy book (no crashes, only small stat issues), I would pay toward the top end of that for a similar product. Heck, even $5.99 is less than your average mass market paperback these days...and they only have one path and no fighting or loot!
Screenshots Hi Gamebook Adventures fans, Just to let you know we're nearing the end of beta now and have squashed some tasty bugs. The first book, Assassin and overall app is feeling pretty solid at the moment and as long as we don't encounter any gotchas we should be submitting next week. I prepared some screenshots for a journalist earlier this week so thought I'd post a couple here too for you! If you have questions about the forthcoming books then just let us know! The Tin Man
I want this game. Bad. And now that I've given up liquor and whores, I have some spare cash to spend on it.
That bookmark is a cool visual touch/detail. If it's a sign of the attention given to the rest of the game, we're all going to have a good time.
Trust me, you will. This is one high quality app. I actually think it's a bit better than Firetop Mountain in certain respects. This is going to be huge when it hits the App Store.
artwork Wow! The artwork is incredible . Looks like it could be fun. Has the author published any other books?
