As a demographic, women seem to prefer low-stress, mind-engaging games like Bejeweled, Flight Control, Doodle Jump, etc. (Obviously, these "non-gamers" are the very demographic tapped successfully by the Wii.) But the "girl" who makes up half of the MikaMobile team plays everything skillfully, from Mario Kart to Halo. And god help you if you ever encounter her in the Worlds of Warcraft. So you can make marketing generalizations about a given demographic (Women 12-29, for example), as long as you remember that there will always be piles of anecdotal evidence to the contrary.
k, i'm a woman, and I love gemmed! , running with scissors: pre-season, charmed, word fu, bookworm. We got one called FreakFiesta, which has a vs mode and that was pretty fun between the two of us (definitely not that violent). my partner and I also played peggle to death ! LOL!!
