Actually many people just jump to the end of threads. That member may not have wanted to read all 25 pages. So don't flame him.
But if he even read the first page announcement of the beta he would have known the applications had to have been sent in before March 1st.
In talks with him he did send an email previously before March 1st but forgot to post in the thread. If all you guys are going to do is tear someone down then don't bother posting.
Exactly..i sent my application in BEFORE march 1st..i just decided to SAY it now. whats the big deal?
I'm gonna say you are lying just like you were about IMO. And I have proof this time. I talked to gamevil and they said they didn't accept you as a tester.
Actually he was accepted but his feedback he is giving is pretty much useless. Hes been spamming, and not giving quality feedback that a dev can actually fix or take in. It looks as if he wants that 10 dollar gift card badly. I like that they are generous enough to give the testers $10 gift cards, but I don't want to give them dumb feedback just for the gift card. If I were Gamevil, I wouldn't give him that gift card, even if he answered all the questions that Gamevil wanted the testers to fill out.
To the people that did not make it into the BETA: Hey guys, just some words for the people that did not make it into the BETA... I'm sure you are pretty let down and bummed out about it. Tons of people are looking forward to this title and I'm sure a good handful of people have a real genuine desire to help make the game better before it's release. Gamevil had the task of picking just that handful, which I am sure is no easy task, which means most people are going to be bummed out about it. Don't let it bug you too much, the game will be available for purchase in short time I am sure. Good things in life really are worth the wait. Just a side note to would-be game testers: The gaming industry is one of the hardest to really get into, every kid and their mother wants to work on video games and/or get paid to play video game so there is a lot of competition. My advice is to keep applying where ever you can even if it is for an unpaid BETA off the iphone. Work your way from the ground up, work hard, and take it seriously. Eventually you will get noticed and your resume will grow, then you can shoot for the big titles maybe even get hired into a real studio full time. Hope this helps, feel free to PM me if you want any advice as I am generally usually in a helpful mood (usually haha ) -J
I got picked to beta test. I can understand being bummed that you missed out, but hey, you have a few weeks for the final version =). Also, the release version will have its flaws and there will be changes. There should be =). Were not really allowed to reveal or show what we've been doing but just a let know that it's great and you all should be really excited for it. I've just been running through it and not really giving total feedback because I wanna finish it in it's entirety. People are really fast at finding errors though, things that I find are already found before I even go to report it. Although 50 testers were picked i feel like its only a handful that have posted viable feedback.
Im testing it also. And, I can honestly say that after all of the bugs are ironed out, this will easily be one the best games available on this platform. They really really put the quality in this. Im still playing through it and dont want to talk too much. But, you guys are going to LOVE the music and the characters. They made it a point not to let this be some generic eye-candy rpg. Im extremely impressed so far.
I also like how this beta wasn't so much a lottery, or maybe it was? All the other games I have beta tested have been pretty much lotteries. FT, Starcraft 2, and what not.
That just proves he was lying about all the games he tested. No big dev would want his feedback then.
