I kinda feel bad for james cameron, he like devoted his life to this movie and a ton of people think it sucks ass
i doubt he needs your pity, he's very successful even if Avatar is a huge load of shit, at least he tried to do something different, even if he failed, it takes 999 failures out of 1000 attempts to get the 1 success.
He must be crying into his fortune reading positive review after positive review. Sitting there night after night alone in his house, polishing his Avatar award certificates thinking to himself "Why? Why don't those twelve forum nerds like my film? I tried to please everyone, I really tried...". Then after several days of slow-building torment and pain, the suffering becomes unbearable... he fills a bathtub with money, gets in and takes a razor to his wrist. With his dying breath, he glances out of the window and looks at the moon, "Eywa ngahu" he mutters, as his eyelids gently close shut and he drifts off to sleep... never to awaken.
I didn't like the look of Avatar initially either, I felt the same towards it as I do towards Twlight... hatred and contempt. Then I decided that being a pessimistic bastard does nothing but cloud your views on potentially enjoyable media, so I decided to give it a chance. Now I think it's a good film, yeah there's CGI involved, but there's also a lot of acting, there's a soundtrack, there's mis-en-scene, there's a story, and aside from all that, the CG is actually good-looking CG. I'd probably sound cooler merely hating on something that's popular just because it has blue people instead of humans (and that's somehow childish), but then in 20 years time I'd have to revert my opinion and pretend that I liked it all along, because it's not cool to hate the classics. Almost everyone is a Beatles fan now, and they sure as hell weren't at the time.
I hate The Beatles as well as Avatar they are/were wining little babies there music is way high pitch its mostly happy and its all about love
