It's out, gameplay vid on Everyplay as always, but the vid doesn't show the secrets. Tell me if you can find them
While working on Hedgehog run, I ran into a kinda annoying bug. In the sonic mode, sometimes when i would jump on the bouncy things 2 times really fast, i would switch gravity sometime in the process. Just something to look into. I am also still experiencing some frequent crashing on an iPad 4. Also the music bug that starts the song from the beginning when using start positions still exists.
Hmm you shouldn't be able to switch gravity while in the air. Where in Hedgehog is it happening? The crashing is related to recording, not sure what could be causing it. As a temporary fix you can disable recording in the options and only enable it when you want to use it. I have never had a crash yet with recording turned off. Will look into the music bug, thx
Towards the end in the second to final sonic part. I tweaked it a bit where it was happening, but I will try to get as recording of the bug for you to see Edit: I put a replay of the bug on Everyplay. It's under---- Bug Found - Video for developer
Thanks for the video! I suspected that was happening. It's not really a bug, just a very tight timing issue. Ring jumps have a higher priority than the normal jump, so you will always ring jump if in contact with a ring. What's happening is that the jump button is pressed before you are in contact with a ring, which flips gravity when in roll mode. The next ring jump then correctly propels you downward since the gravity is now flipped. There's no real way to fix it, just try to work around it
In a lot of ways yes, Geometry Dash is inspired by The Impossible Game, Bit.Trip Runner etc. But it also has a lot of new features, game mechanics, level editor and much more You can try the Lite version for free: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/app-name/id698255242
I've got a problem, I've made almost all of my levels, starting from smooth jumper, on my school iPad, but sadly now they are making us take all our games off.... I would like to keep my levels when I move back to my iPod, as of right now is there anyway to do so?
There's no way to do it right now, but I can try to set something up. Good thing is that all your levels are saved in the database, and it's easy to import them back into the editor. Just have to figure out how to add it Also, a new update is on the way. New game pieces, new song, new level, effects etc. Also introducing something called "Demon" difficulty levels for user-generated content
So when I have to take geometry dash off the iPad, will there be some way for me to get those back? Don't stress out about it, just wondered if you had a way. Oh, and I just made a new level and uploaded a replay
This game is really tight. I've only just dug into it but I can see myself losing a lot of time playing it.
I will be selecting certain maps and mark them as Demon difficulty. Completing them will earn the player achievements and new characters Very cool level, will give it a try Thanks, glad you like it!
Do you know if I restore to a back up will that lose my levels or keep them. I'm trying to get rid of my jailbreak to upgrade to ios 7. I think imgood, backed the game files up with ifunbox just in case
Do android users have access to Everyplay, cause I always wonder why they never make gameplay vids for their levels.
I never tried restoring to iPhone from iPad, but the game files are all the same so it should work. If you have a jailbroken device you might even be able to just replace the save files if you have them, not sure though. Unfortunately Everyplay is only available for iOS. I think Android users would love to share replays though, maybe in the future
Well actually I was just trying to get my jailbreak off, I wasn't trying to get my iPad files on my iPod. But that is a very good idea. Ill try that this afternoon
I figured out a way to handle a leaderboard system, so trying to implement that for the next update! Leaderboards with a few features, achievements etc. could be a very cool addition to the game
