Gesture Find and Dial introduces a new way of contacting people: just scribble their name on the screen of your iPhone!

As soon as you write a letter on your screen, the app will present which contacts you are most likely trying to reach. It makes some intelligent choices based on your actual contact first names and surnames.

As an option, the most likely contact is highlighted as a fast call button. It is also possible to have the app speak out the letters as you write them on the screen.

The app has a setting for slow or fast input. While getting used to the writing on the screen, a slow input setting is recommended, but as you get used to writing the letters, a faster input setting is preferable.

To assist in finding your contacts fast, Gesture Find will show the last dialed contacts on top of the list.

It takes a bit of getting used to, and to figure out how to best draw characters for the app to recognize them, but soon you’ll be putting the app on your favorite bar on your phone, and use it instead of the phone app itself!

Click here to download gesture find and dial. It’s free!

If anyone has tried this out, please let me know, I highly value your feedback! We will continue to update the app, in particular improve the recognition further and add lower case letter recognition as well.
