I'm trying to find a decent twitter client for ipad, I've trawled through the AppStore and have no idea what to go for, I thought I'd ask you all which one you use? I don't really like the official one, and accessing through safari is, to be frank, shite. I found one called twitterminal, which is really quirky but more of a novelty, can't see me using it all the time. Paid or free, I don't mind. I'd prefer an ios one but have an android phone if thers a great client on there. Thanks in advance
I used to like Tweetbot but it never gets updated. Echofon Pro is a nice alternative.. but i use the official twitter app now that its been reworked for ipad to try keep it in line with iphone version
I saw they're going to release Tweetbot 4 so I think they stopped updating Tweetbot 3. https://twitter.com/tapbots/status/644289229342638080/photo/1
The iPhone version got updated way more often then the iPad version that have not been updated in over a year.. finally
Thanks for the replies. Looks like tweetbot is a popular choice. Is it worth buying now or waiting to see if a newer version comes? Ignore that last sentence. I've bought tweetbot.
Yeah, rumour says there will be a Tweetbot 4, but that will maybe take some time to be released. Good choice, you won't regret it. I still see people using the first Tweetbot 'til today and that still runs, even without being updated.
I love it, my only one niggle is that you have the old character limit when sending direct messages whereas with the twitter for ipad one, it's unlimited characters. It also doesn't seem to display a recieved message in full if the sender has gone over the standard character count. It's not often I send private messages on there so I just log in on a browser should it be a problem.
It looks like Tweetbot 4 for iOS is well on it's way. Curious to see if this will be a universal app. I've always been a huge Tweetbot fan for iOS. I recently ended up with a Nexus 9 and use Tweetings on Android. It's bee a great client and I see they also have an iOS client as well. Either would be a fine choice.
