Haha, in the time it took me to post that, everyone else had basically put my points down. But I'm glad I could help. I admit, our government sucks balls, too. Pretty much every government in this world has corruption in it somewhere; it's just a fact of life and human greed. I wish wholeheartedly that Communism (in its REAL form) could succeed, as that would solve innumerable problems. But, unfortunately, we are who we are, and that's humans. Greedy, crappy humans.
Understood. Actually, I find your country fascinating. You have a wealth of history that I envy. I hope your country can find it's proper balance. Right now it just makes me sad.
I hope so too - if every country had REAL Communism the world would be free of discrimination and envy. It'd be somewhat close to heaven... unfortunately, we can all only wish at this point.

Just because it's stable doesn't mean it's not corrupt. I was merely stating that corruption exists in all governments, and I can see it pretty clearly shown in many examples here. If we were arguing on government stability rather than corruption, we'd be talking about Africa's myriad of systems rather than China's Totalitarianism.

The Chinese censorship law is stupid. But this prank just made Google just as stupid and childish. Playing search term tricks? What do they expect to receive in return? The Chinese government begging for them to come back? How pathetic. Bring up any Asian topic in a forum like this and it's guaranteed to cause chaos; it's rather an idiot-magnet.
This is what you call a sense of humor? Then you need to watch comedy shows more often. If some unknown newbie company made that "humor", it would be more understandable, but wouldn't be good for their PR anyways. Google , the largest search engine and one of the most prominent companies, writing "Chinese people eat babies"? That's like Shakespeare suddenly starts to write stuff like rap.

Um, I'm pretty sure they weren't expecting that at all. More something along the lines of "Eat it, n00b, see what happens when you don't cooperate". It was childish, yes. But, in the process, it made quite a few of us laugh. And Google's been known to pull stunts like this from time to time just for a quick joke. That's the entire reason for the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button. This was probably just seen as a perfect opportunity for them.
