yeah I used to pirate too, but I never felt compelled to play the games I got illegally. I ended up buying them all
Saved money. Because, even though I'm still spending on average the same amount as I was before, now I know what games are worth the money and what aren't before I buy.
Cost me lots!!!! Use to only get like one game a week paid on the app store, now that's about 4 a day. Also i used a few promo codes but not many at all.
Saved me a ton of money through promotions, sales, and educated buys. I used to just buy every game that looked interesting, now I spend a lot of time researching before I buy .
you need a third option. BOTH. heh. because i buy games from new comers and sometimes they are very beta.. other times i spend money on games cause of the great feed back from the fine info that the forum gives.. videos are a life saver. iv probably purchased more games than i would if it was not for TA. iv also got lots of great games from promos too. they may popup on the appshopper as free. but its sure is nice having feed back to see if i would be remotely interested. its all good chris.
ive definately spent more than ive saved but ive spent it on quality games instead of buying crap.......so both kind of
i honest dont know how TA cost you $... TA provide you promo codes, sales info, contests to save you tons of money.
well its saved some money because of the bad reviews, bad impressions, etc. but it also cost me because of the good reviews, good impressions, etc. more cost than save, though
Thanks to all the trusted members, great admins/moderators, dedicated devs, promo codes, and contests. With TA I am able to gather enough information on just about any game put out. With TA I have found my niche preference with game types I have come to really enjoy on my iPod Touch. Without TA I would have a lot of impulse purchases with less information about those games. There would have been a lot of games I'm sure I would have been dissatisfied with. Thank you to everyone in TA! One more thing...I just saved a ton of money on my motorcyle insurance by swicthing to Geico!
I'd never have heard of a lot of games if not for TA, so I don't see it as 'costing' so much as 'revealing ways to spend money".
Saved, I used to impulse buy a lot of games before I found TA, now I only look at games on the forums or on the front page, instead of every page in appshopper
In Germany we say something like: What the eye doesn't see, the heart doesn't grieve over. If you get informed, read forums, do some research you will spend more money than you would do normally. So for me TA is good place for saving money on apps you wouldn't have bought in the first place. In the end TA cost me more money than I save. But more important for me: All I bought was good so far. So I didn't spend money on unworthy crap.
