+1 pangea - Billy Frontier is a huge joke Asphalt@ 10 Beast@ 1 Duck Hunt@ 1 Line Rider iRide@ 3 MotionX Poker Quest@ 5? Space Buster@ 1 Topple@ 1 Worlde(not Wurdle)@ 1 ZenBound@ 5 (game cramps hands) $28 wasted? Not really that bad considering I have owned an iPhone since original release date.
Oh, HELLLLLLL NO! Now, opinions are opinions and all, and everyone is entitled to them, but if you in any way think Ass Fault to be superior to Ferrari GT, sorry man...you've lost your right to an opinion. Someone else will now be giving you your opinions. It's for the good of mankind. Ferrari GT has it's faults...but at least it is playable. After that misguided update Gameloft made, Ass Fault went from first to worst. Absolutely friggin' unplayable now. Used to be "tilt a little, turn a little, tilt to the extreme then ease back for a drift", but now it's "tilt a little, go right into an uncontrollable drift that you can't ease out of because the friggin' motion sensing controls are waaaaay too sensitive now...and there's no sensitivity option to change things". Again, it's Ass Fault now. As in "who's ass is at fault for this goddamn crappy update?" Anyway...back on topic: Ass Fault There. That is the one game I regret purchasing. It was great when I first bought it, and then Gameloft completely ruined the game. Oh, and just about any tower defense game other than 7 Cities. And Payback prior to the game saving update (before that update...oh boy...not good).
Enigmo UNO 7 cities, just not my type of td game Sim city, because it is impossible not to become bankrupt.
Zen bound... I too bought the hype (literally).. wish I had waited for the free version to try it out. I admire the uniqueness, but it's just not fun. Perhaps it's like modern art...
Not a game, but I have to say it: iStat. I love the Mac widget but the iPhone app is almost useless. I bought it because I thought it allowed to free memory faster than a restart and found out it is two to three times slower. Also, I thought it would give you the MAC adress of the access point you're connected to but all it does is give you your device's MAC address. The one you find if you just go to Settings. The Mac monitoring capability is kinda cool but I, for one, have no interest in checking my Mac's temperatures while I'm not at home. Regarding games, I'd have to say that: MotoChaser (fun for the first 5minutes); touchPhysics (fun but really short and I was expecting new levels in future updates); Raging Thunder; Bugdom 2; Are probably the ones I regret buying.
It's mostly my fault, as I know it's a game genre I won't get along with, but by some strange force of nature, logic goes out of the window and....damn...did it again! Here are a handful of the ones that really leave me wondering what I was thinking, if atall! Real time sims: virtual villagers, Fish Tycoon, Fresh Water Aquarium, Pocket God - I have no patience for this genre. Why would I want to manage the daily life of a sprite? I find it difficult enough to manage my own daily life! And yet..... Tap target to shoot games: Zombie Invasion - What is the point? Tap...tap...tap...tap...drag...oh no sorry, I meant...tap! I thought we had come along further than that since the invention of the opposable thumb...sad times! And yet I tapped the 'Buy App' button! Then there are a few that I thought might work better but...well...didn't: Line Rider: Loved the idea, but alas, trying to design anything more than a squiggle, let alone the fantastic stuff I have seen created on the PC version, with my fat finger? HoS, BIA: It's been said a million times, and who am I to break tradition! So far, controlling walking/running characters on a machine with no buttons has been no fun. Aqua Hoops, Wolfenstein: I love my retro games, but there are some that I prefer to just look back on in fond nostalgic remembrance...
I've only really regretted buying a few apps, been quite selective to try to reduce the amount of wasted cash. 1) Trapped, i so wanted to love the game, but the bad controls and frame rate kill it for me. 2)Ironman, don't know why I forgot my "licensed mobile games ARE bad!" rule. 3) Orions, don't hate the game itself, just the fact I bought it JUST before the price drop, and I haven't played it a great deal in a LONG time. 4)Touchgrind, Novelty runs out...... very quickly....... leaving the husks of a bad, bad game.... Saying that, if they had a more zoomed out camera option, the game would be A LOT better. 5)Ancient Frog, I like the game, but I would have god JUST as much enjoyment if I waited for the lite version. there are some others, but those pop to mind atm.
touchgrind was frustratingly disappointing but the absolute winner has to be RAGING THUNDER for being overwhelmingly underwhelming
It's only a buck, blah blah, but I'm still mad at myself for buying Watchmen. They shouldn't even be allowed to call that a game, unless a buggy piece of crap constitutes a game these days. I'll continue to say this in every thread possible, until I'm blue in the face, this "game" is pure and utter garbage and not only do I regret, but I feel taken advantage of and ripped off. All the other ones I can swallow as they still had some sort of fun even if I wasn't happy with my purchase...Spore comes to mind, but Watchmen takes the cake!
Wow, Geodefense is amazing! It's not easy at all and gives a challenge, unlike a lot of TD games. I've still yet to beat all the levels. My most regretted purchases - I have a lot, but can't think of them all. Heres a few. Waverunner (althought I liked powerboat), Chronicles of Inotia, Cuberunner 2, Hero of Sparta... Crash kart, Motochaser, Amaetur Surgeon, Price is Right, Space Deadbeef, Stick wars siege.........
i think a lot of people, me included, were really dissapointed with how Super monkey ball turned out. some people like it but i regret spending even $5 on it
several bigger games: asphalt 4, spore, rolando, hero of sparta. hate them all. moto chaser, wings, line rider, dr. awesome, wave blazer, tap tap dance, touch physics, bugdom, nanosaur, cro-mag (a bunch of pangea). all horrible mouse house, blue skies, rasta monkey, blue attack (sorry guys ) and ancient frog. it's a very well made game, but i don't like it and wish i waited for the lite version
Not really, I just regretted buying at the wrong time where there is a sales like 3 days later. Most of the time i do plenty of research before buying an app =)
