    • Help! None of my apps work!

      Hey guys. I didnt know where to post this and since it has to do with apps, i figured it could go here.

      Anyways, I have a 3GS with the latest OS. 3.1.2 i believe. I synced my phone yesterday and now none of my 3rd party apps work. Ive tried resetting and restoring my phone to no avail. Ive also tried reauthorizing my computer and downloading new apps from both wifi and the computer and none of it has worked. I was wondering if anyone could help me out?

      Do any apps work? try checking the defalt apple apps. if they work try downloading any app that isn't on your phone already and see if that works. Did your battery die recently?

      thanks for the response. My apple apps work, just none from the app store. Ive tried downloading apps that i dont already have from both the computer and from wifi straight to my phone. None of it has worked. Thanks for the idea though.

      oh sorry then i don't know if you are jailbroken you can try reseting app permissions by going to sbs settings or bossprefs and fix app permissions will be somewhere in the settings of those apps.

      do mean the apps wont sync or they crash when opened- cause when mines wouldnt sync it was because of an accidental restriction to apps in the settings

      this happened to me before although the situation was a bit more complicated. my defective ipod touch was replaced by apple but i saved the settings of that ipod touch in my itunes settings as back up - now when i got the new touch, the saved settings somehow got mixed up with the new ones so the apps kept on crashing.

      i tried reinstalling the apps, didn't work. on my second attempt, i decided to erase the saved settings and restored my ipod touch from scratch. and it worked! i suggest you try that too. maybe there's just a problem with your OS.

      Restore. From a backup first, and if it still doesn't work then restore it as a new device.

      thanks for the suggestions. I'm not jailbroken so thats not an issue and ive tried restoring from a backup but i guess ill just try the restore from scratch and see what happens. It all started when i last synced it to the computer so i think that caused the issue. Ill see what happens. Thanks again.
