I've only played the Lite and thought it was cool. Downloading now, thanks GL. medianotzu Well-Known Member Nov 21, 2009 3,803 9 36 #8 medianotzu, Dec 19, 2011 Would be nice if there were a way to not download an update and not have to have it in your face for eternity in the updates list. Also, it would be cool if I didn't have to manually press the download button for like the three dozen daily updates I get if I chose not to update something. spidey Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2010 964 2 0 India #9 spidey, Dec 19, 2011 I really do understand the whole i-paid-so-no-ads feeling, but seriously, this is an ancient game (by iOS standards) which you are probably not going to play again, if you have finished it once. If GL is trying to push it's wares around by keeping it free, and try and expand it's user base, i really see no harm in that. Of course the best solution is to actually be able to remove games from update lists in iTunes. PS: I am not a particular GL fan, especially after their infatuation with freemium, but I am not criticizing this strategy of theirs to make old games free to play with ads. C.Hannum Well-Known Member Feb 13, 2011 2,512 0 36 New York State #11 C.Hannum, Dec 19, 2011 It doesn't exactly suck, and for free you can definitely do worse on the app store, but I got bored a bit over half through and never returned to it. I eventually just deleted it because it was taking up space. Lots of over the top violence (that gets repetitive imo) that is somehow not very engaging. YMMV. EfratBarTal Well-Known Member Mar 5, 2011 2,351 17 38 Female CEO Tel-Aviv #12 EfratBarTal, Dec 19, 2011 played it for about twenty minutes, and it actually was quite nice.. but i only just yesterday bought Aralon and i don't think i can handle another giant game right now, so deleted. but will probably go back to it.. sometime.. in the.. not so.. near future. AppUnwrapper Well-Known Member Oct 26, 2011 4,062 3 0 http://www.appunwrapper.com/escape-games/ #13 AppUnwrapper, Dec 19, 2011 This pissed me off so much when I saw the update available that I ranted a bit about it on my blog (with a photo of the update notes if anyone wants to see). Why the hell couldn't they just turn the free version into a full version with ads? Gameloft went from one of my favorite devs to being on my "beware of" list. Mandi Well-Known Member Nov 23, 2008 159 0 0 #14 Mandi, Dec 20, 2011 I know right? Before coming to this thread I just posted this review in the app store, I thought I'd share it: "Gameloft, it's time we break up. It seems that you have caught freemium fever, and no longer care about all that customers that have helped you rise to the top of the app developer pile over these few short years. I paid for this game, and now you decide to make it free with a ton of ads? YOU ALREADY HAVE A FREE VERSION OF THIS GAME AVAILABLE GAMELOFT. MAKE THAT THE FULL VERSION WITH ADS, AND LEAVE YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS ALONE. To expect me never update this app to keep the ads away is the poorest, most insane excuse for customer support I have ever seen. NOT UPDATING AN APP EVER AGAIN MEANS THAT I HAVE TO UPDATE ALL MY APPS ONE BY ONE AND NEVER USE THE "UPDATE ALL" BUTTON, THUS "BREAKING" A BASIC FUNCTION OF ITUNES. IT ALSO MEANS THAT I WILL FOREVER HAVE A RED BADGE ON THE APP STORE ICON ON MY PHONE TELLING ME I NEED TO UPDATE. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I now have to delete this game out of my game library and archive it if I want to keep the ad free version to play, and not have the above problems. And quite frankly, it's not worth it for a God of War clone. There are too many other, more honest developers doing actual innovative things with their games for me to care about the likes of your anymore Gameloft, Until you change your ways, goodbye." Great minds think alike huh? Too bad there don't seem to be any great minds left at Gameloft. caanerud Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2011 998 0 0 #15 caanerud, Dec 20, 2011 Ouch. Gameloft just sink lower and lower I predict their next move will be deleting the dungeon hunter games from the store so they don't compete with their upcoming freemium Dungeon Hunter 3 so I advise people to back those up or if you want them to get them soon. Makes me really sad when a great company goes bad. I have so many games by them, and was going to buy TinTin next, was hoping one day for a Sacred Odyssey 2... But now I'd be afraid to touch anything they make. Btw, anyone have some screenshots of the ads? I want to see how bad they are without actually updating. caanerud Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2011 998 0 0 #19 caanerud, Dec 20, 2011 No big loss.
