Don't really think this game is too easy as some are saying. In fact I am getting wrecked on wave 30 on the regular. No matter which setup I use it doesn't seem to matter. Primarily use my knight which is level 32. I'm sure I'll get it eventually as there is a counter for everything in the game but for now it's giving me fits.

You have to complete a few waves first (3,4,5 or more) and then you are given a tutorial on how to use different races.

I'm on an iPad 4, and the game constantly crashes at the start of level 14. It's annoying me now.
Anyone know the solution? I reset for the update and now it seems like I shouldn't have.

I agree with this in principle, but the amount of time needed to rebalance everything is impractical. I'd like to see it as a change to HC3 instead, which is a lot more reasonable. I would not think such a drastic mechanic change is a good idea at all -- check out the current backlash. You'll have a hell of a time convincing somebody "no no it's fine that you're getting hit way more because you take less damage per hit now". This is definitely something to consider for a new sequel though, seeing how this is the norm for just about every game out there.

Defense should reduce damage, damage blocking as a whole should be extremely rare as it's quite good :) The bursty damage right now forces you to focus on HP on elves, or else you can just get away with high defense + lifesteal. That's the point. It's difficult to make a "perfect" character. The way it is now strikes a pretty decent balance between the three races. Elves feel fragile because you CAN get 1-2 shot. Taking this away would be a bad idea. Berzerkers are constantly being hit, but they have access to good defense skills to actually reduce damage per hit. Humans have a boatload of HP, but have no innate +ARM or +DEF or +DODGE, although there's +15% parry. Def <-> Armor is far too drastic and requires a revamp of the entire system.

This isn't an end-all game guys. It's a $2 game with optional IAP. On your phone. Perfection is tough to strive for and unrealistic to expect.

Foursaken's biggest mistake was not releasing underpowered heroes, then buffing them in 1.02. We'd get the complete opposite reaction. Everybody's acting like FM owes you shit because they made you weaker.

Just had a 30 min endless run. Not fun but doable.

If you like a challenge, try to beat Wave 20 again without a strong hero and glitches. I believe it's not possible anymore. I just died like 20 times in a row with a new Druid. Maybe you have to completely finish the game first to get such a strong Wave, not sure about that. But this is almost harder than the current Endless.

Just beat it with my level 47 Knight (one of my lowest level hero). Nothing really stands out to me. Used pretty standard setup with footman, a few elven snipers and Knights, and a pathfinder. I used Taunt to kite the enemy away from the wall early on to buy time to build up resources (including General Rally research).

Elven arrows I guess? Yeah I don't think that means much.

All my units have a white aura all the time. I guess it's Wind Spirit (Druid). But the aura doesn't disappear and lasts for the whole battle (just the graphical effect).

Farming Crystals - advanced edition. I'm pretty sure you can figure it out just out of that one screenshot.

Another exploit, and of course it must be posted here. Do you sometimes think about how such information could affect in-app sales?

If it wasn't for the gambling nature of crafting, I'd give it a bit more thought on whether I should or shouldn't post Crystal exploits.

Besides, this isn't a game that relies on people buying thousands of crystals for the singleplayer campaign.

It looks like sometimes a bannerman stops at the gates, blocking more than half of the entrance. If two bannermen decide to meet there, heroes won't be able to move in or out (that didn't happen yet though).

First off I would like to say I absolutely love this game. Secondly I would like to say that the mere concept of four brothers producing it is probably one of the best things about it. That must truly be the best of times as well as the worst of times. Two dollars for such a finely produced diversion from reality is money well spent in my honest opinion. That being said, I think the update has caused some issues. It is true that as an old school hack-and-slasher, I didn't invest much effort into other classes other than human sword-striker. I loved being able to command my troops from the back side of the battlefield, and I honestly spent much time just spawning my allies and watching as they marched or ran forward into battle doing my bidding. I was a bit concerned that after the update that my allies didn't seem to do as well and I had to rush forward to sword strike more than ever at their weak points. I am far from a mathematician, but it seems a bit too nerfed when it comes to my play-style. I constantly watch as my allies fall in battle and I can't seem to help them with sword-strike like I used to. I understand that this is to push players into alternate strategies and thinking outside the box. I get it, but is it necessary to overpower the enemies so distinctly toward a specific playstyle? If that was the idea, then I will adjust my style accordingly. I have cleared all waves up to 32, but I seem to be stuck there. I will be going back in history to up my levels on my Elf and Dwarf, but I tell you, what I used to clear with my level 50 night is significantly harder now. For instance, Wave 24 in history...failed. Four times...hehe. What is this new "enemies have grown stronger"? I love the game even now and it is so outside anything I have ever played on IOS that I feel bad for even mentioning it. However, if you look at the reviews, it seems that many people outside this forum feel the same way. I would hate for this game to lose sales because of it. It is only $2 and you have people deleting the app? I would never go that far and will eventually warm up to the idea of alternate races and alternate play-styles, but where I used to help my 13 year old son clear a wave, I now just say...figure it out. You know why? Because I am figuring it out as well. I can see how newer player might have an issue with the difficulty now. It may even be off putting to lose lands over and over again as the enemy grows so strong you will never gain ground unless you are a history fan. Also, I must say the wife got very upset with me over the Torch bearers...I.I.I.I.I'll light the way! Lol. I thought it was hilarious, but she didn't. Maybe it was because she was trying to sleep. The posters on this thread are obviously OP. They know the math, they know the lingo. They know the play styles. I am Justaman playing a game at the same time as my son of 13 years. I say at the same time because the multiplayer is broken. Even local matches over the wi-if become out of sync after 10 seconds or so. I think I need his help and he needs mine with these new nerfs. All in all, a fabulous game, but if you want to appeal to the many masses of IOS players out there, four brothers need to go over some code again. I say that tongue in cheek, because I would not have a clue how you even went from a beginning idea to this finished product. Thank you Foursaken for a fabulous game. Humbly yours, Justaman.

Doesn't take a genius to figure that one out right? It's glitch friendly vs glitch enemy, nothing more than that.
