So, trying out the update, and I'm having a lot of issues running this on my iPad 3 now. I'm running into a LOT of prevalent framerate slowdowns, primiarily with there being huge amounts of enemies at once, especially in Wave 29, and I'm also getting slowdowns when I'm basically doing the same thing over and over again (Wave 21 with dwarf), and then eventually ending in a crash. Foursaken, I'm sure you're doing a performance patch for this, but man, these issues are a killer for me. Also running iOS 8.1.3 in case anyone is curious.
I feel like wave 32, 33, and 35 should be a part of NG+. People complaining about those waves being difficult when they breezed through the first 30... well that's the point! I feel like a simple labeling of these levels would go a long way to stop complaints. Difficulty definitely ramps up noticeably, so maybe a warning and bit of handholding is what people need.
I usually use fully leveled banner man, captain, footmen, eleven healer. Research in this particular order: captain buff, footmen buff, +200, human buff. Summon 1 bannerman, then quickly call out 1 captain, call out 1 unit of footmen, 1 eleven healer. Then put the 4 of those units on auto. You are then free to fight or hide.
Almost completed w35 with my lv28 pure gunner. During the last few moments when the orcs are almost gone, 3 snipers appeard right beside me and just one-shotted me. Lesson learned not to stand in that spot near the end so the snipers aim at something else.
Once you put it on auto it'll automatically produce more bannerman. The trick was to place a strong unit that also double as a source for revenue. The captain will start killing the necro and buff the units. The elf will keep healing the bannerman. In the beginning the battle will be a bit hectic but should push back further along as the game produce more units for you. Was a very very reliable method almost 100% win all the time for my low level elf(10) to level up. My elf did nothing but camp in the castle.
Except the problem is the obelisks won't show while waves 31-35 aren't completed. It's not a NG+ if it's not optional. Either that or it's because I'm losing lands but I thought it was reaching wave 30 and finishing it that trigged them to show.
Anybody else playing the end game map missions yet? Sometimes the enemy uses some crazy tactics and mass spawns one type of unit. Plus they keep getting stronger over time. Look at this screenshot, the enemy pumped skeleton archers faster than I could kill them. Their arrows could reach the bannermen. I didn't spend too many skill points in mass destruction skills, that was obviously a mistake. But I love how the missions have become unpredictable.
Wtf? Machine gun ghouls. A single ghoul took down all three of my walls in a few seconds on endless. I was inside my castle healing when I heard a machine gun. Wall #1 fell before j could move. Walk outside and see the ghoul take down the second wall right next to me. This screen shot is from the third wall. I was only 3.5 minutes into endless.
I reported that too, ghouls and also goblin warriors can take down walls and units in no time. I'm unsure about whether FM actually play their game or not. Coop is broken atm because of that machine gun bug and sync errors.
Legendary Sword I got my first legendary weapon but it was 10 dmg 50 ap and 5 sta. Was expecting more.
A question for developers or knowledgeable people How much data did this update use it took a lot lesser than I thought it would.
Cant wait to get off work so i can take another shot at w35 with a pure gunner. The challenge is real
So I've been working a bit on the wiki skills today: http://heroesandcastles2.wikia.com/wiki/Skills Human's skills are all done, so if you see anything wrong there (even spelling mistakes), please let me know I also noticed some skill description issues: Knight: - revenge (chance stays the same, yet it's listed under every level upgrade) - into the frey (spelling, phrasing) Ranger: - sharpened arrows (chance stays the same, yet it's listed under every level upgrade) - elven arrows (time stays the same, yet it's listed under every level upgrade) - nimble (2 too many zeroes under upgrades) Plus those double + errors that someone mentioned before. And another exploit, very useful for siege missions and powerleveling (old exploit that dind't get fixed): If you're playing a human, equip the highest damage gear you find, buff your damage further with passive skills (knight skill tree) and get Sword Strike to level 5. To use this exploit, run up to the enemies' castle and position yourself as close as possible to the enemies' keep/tower/totem (the thing that you have to destroy to win). To do this stand as close as you can on the right-side wall, facing the keep/tower/totem and use Sword Strike (might take a couple of strikes. If you don't have enough mana use the mana skill from the mage's skill tree). And yeah, multiplayer is still unplayable for me. It's like playing an online game with 999 ping. Also, sometimes when I want to use my first active skill it registers that I tapped the chat button (the chat button is directly under the skill button).
^That's only really easily done IF you have lots of mana (high level with mage spec'd). The damage of sword strike on walls are pitiful now, and you burn through mana too fast. It takes a couple trips to base to arcane to do successfully with equips.
