Hey Foursaken, could you make cannons hit better? They often just hit the ground when the ground is not totally flat. I just had a mission where all cannons shot at one single stationary enemy over and over, not doing any damage. And in Endless mode, they have trouble hitting the right side of the battlefield. To the right, there's a small hill, too.

Personally, I wouldnt want to change that at all. Just because one of my guys cant hit certain enemies in certain conditions without my intervention doesnt mean it needs fixing.

It's not just a special rare condition, it happens in all maps.

Definitely it happens a lot, mainly in Endless map or any map which isn't flat as PowerGamer said. Why cannons try to hit unreachable targets? archers or pathfinders will actually move from their positions if they cannot hit or avoid a mountain. They won't hit the mountain over and over again.

    I don't think cannons can move. :D

Anyway, it's not like the towers are THAT important.

No, not the cannon towers. The unit "Dwarf Cannon".

They can be pushed around by your hero if needed.

Cannons can move by themselves and be pushed manually. Not talking about towers btw :D

I just saw that my Elf hero has 15 points in a skill tree, but only 13 points are spent. Maybe the last patch changed something and didn't release the skill points. I'll wait for the next patch, hopefully the free skill reset will fix it.

Edit: nevermind, I forgot that 2nd tier skill takes 3 points.

More about elf skill tree/descriptions. I use a staff.

    - Quickstrike. Does it work with ranged weapons?
    - Offensive Stance. Seems not to be working either with ranged weapon.
    - Cleave. Unsure if it works.
    - Counter Blow. Seems to be working.
    - Master Parry. Definitely not working and I don't understand why.

About active skills: Both Incapacitate/Omega cut works properly but it only has melee range for me.

I'd like to know what works with what weapons. Maybe more accurate descriptions. For example, Backstab is accurately described.

To add to that, would like to know what works with melee. Poison arrow doesn't seem to work with melee weapons, not sure about guns. And Nature's Touch? Would like weapon specific or range specific skill descriptions, if they are indeed incompatible.

  12. Update!?!

Jimeny Christmas where is it at?

I finally beat the Achievement to take out wave 15 without units, took a knight with a +59 double sword and lots of sword strikes... Almost didn't pull it off!

Any of you have suggestions for the other hero types for this Achievement? My gunners are struggling.

Also, H&C2 is on sale for a ridiculous ninety nine cents. Get the word out!

The android version already got the update:

    - Added the ability to craft specific weapon types
    - Generally increased the strength of Towers
    - Added functionality to sell all equipment of a type and rarity
    - Added inverse look options
    - Fixed various bugs and exploits

At least we know what to look forward to. Really glad about the specific weapon type crafting.

I loved H&C1 and was psyched to hear the sequel was finally out! I'm finding the difficulty is ramped way up in this one, though. Bannermen are all outside the castle (my least favorite enemies in the original were the ones that targeted your gold mines... so frustrating!). Can't repair your walls at will. Can't build towers in battle. Can't run AND attack, making running basically useless. Crystals come at a snail's pace, and there's so much more stuff to spend them on, so I'm not able to upgrade very much. The "burrowing" (aka teleporting) enemies are just unfair. Still, the original had a steep learning curve, so I have faith things will click at some point!

I've been stuck on wave 9 for several days now. Can anyone give me some advice? There are just too many enemies, and it seems impossible to build a big enough army to handle them all. Dozens of goblins, backed up by big waves of the orcs that make you bleed, the ranged orcs that knock you down, and the musketeers on the enemy walls that also knock you down. If I try to make footmen/blunderbusses to handle the waves of goblins, the orcs will destroy me. If I go for pikemen/wood elves, they just get swarmed by the goblins and I lose all my bannermen. If I make shield knights to go after the orc archers, I don't have enough money to buy melee defense. What should I do?

Also, how are you supposed to hang on to all your outposts? Or are you not? It seems like they're all just constantly under attack, and each time I defend one it brings me closer to losing all the others.

    Thanks!

The sequences on outposts are done so that it is possible to defend every attack without losing any outpost.

Seems to me you may not be upgrading units much. They are more important than your hero's loadout early on. Your hero's stuff are only really essential when you have a few skill points spent.

Despite that, the first time i played this from scratch i did spend so much gems on crafting weapons rather than unit upgrades. Only after i started taking my most used units up to rank3 did i feel their impact in the game.

Another important thing to upgrade is the Base Crystal. Upgrading it unlocks more units for you, and here is where you can unlock the Captain which does wonders in the first 20 waves in the game, and still pretty much useful all the time.

If you have access to Elven Archers (wall units) they are pretty useful coz of their stun which can stun huge units like the Orcs.

It's almost impossible to give advice for new players when all your units are level 5. I just replayed level 9 and just built footmen while my hero didn't do anyhing - that was enough.
Maybe you should buy 2 bannermen, then 1 captain, and after that only footmen.

    Guess what? Classified.
    Classified.
The game doe at offer yuk everything right off the bat- repairmen become available LATER, and as you capture more lands your crystal income will increase.
You have to be tactical with your units, which you appear to be doing, but maybe you should try a different strategy and you might find something that works.
Also, definitely upgrade your units like EP said.
For burrowing units you need elven archers (or other stunning allies).
Also don't defend the castle until you have to, it gives you more time to capture lands.
