Axeheads are technically closer to your hands, and sword blades... Well, that's pretty obvious. :p

But... 70 damage with 20% crit (+60%!) vs 110 damage and no crit...

I'd consider taking the extra crit... 3/5 chance of getting 210 weapon damage? I'd take that any day.

110 base may seem nice, but think of the 3/5 triple damage, man.

Well I've been playing some more and bought another 200 gem pack so all my nine heroes have atleast a half decent weapon and armour and I've gone through the first two waves with all nine of them. Now on to wave three with them :D

105dmg 10ap 0sta 1500range. While your rifle doesn't seem worse than my, I can actually oneshot enemies like executioner which you can't, and that's huge difference in rifles. Are you using something to increase your ap? I am using +50ap

I played around with forging a bit and was surprised at how many weapon types there are.

It seems weird that you can forge a projectile staff with non-projectile staff's appearance, because the projectile staff has a ball of light that doesn't transfer.

There's also one-handed dual swords can be combined with any one-handed sword; then there's also two-handed dual swords that can't be combined with any other two-handed sword.

There is a distinction between wooden one-handed maces and iron one-handed maces for some reason.

It's also weird that you can combine guns however you want, eventhough the 3 gun types (blunderbuss, repeater, rifle) are clearly visualy distinct upon crafting.

Yup. Perfect for a surprise attack in PvP.

Depends how much you wanna break it down. There's two staves, as mentioned: melee and projectile. There's also things like double-swords and magic bows.

And double swords can be one or 2-handed.

Oh, and i completed Wave30 with an all ice mage wall and all pathfinder ground setup, just for lulz. I forgot about the last 2 catapults, so those 2 managed to destroy a wall, but it was easily remedied and went back to easy mode.

The highlight... With an all ice mage wall, no siege troll can get close to the wall. LOL

One handed dual swords are same as one handed usual swords.

Two handed dual swords are in their own category for some reason.

It's pretty satisfying to watch that, isn't it?

I also noticed 4 unique one handed swords so far, while the rest have a randomized appearance (random pommel, random hilt, random guard, random blade)

  14. Update?

The heck is going on here.

As a business professional, I am flabbergasted at the lack of speed and getting this update out to the consumer base. This was a top selling app for its first week, hampered by some easily fixable issues... That have been sitting, fixed, for weeks now. This is hurting a developers sales as feedback permeates with these fixed issues. It's hampering their ability to serve their customers.

    As a customer, I just want M0R3 stuffs :D

Precisely, it's quite the difference. The swords only go for ~620 damage per hit factoring in crits (i'm using 2 12% crit mods), while the axes are closer to ~760 damage per hit. Is the extra damage worth the range though?

That's rather presumptuous :p Again, I've spec'd heavily into berzerker tree so even repeaters are able to one shot those. I'm using 30 AP 12% crit rune with +dmg armor. I think I'm going back to repeaters given FM will fix this bug.

I can't really press the difference on you with this one, really. If you want the damage, then go for the axe(s). If you want to 'shoot n scoot' easier, then swords are the better weapon.

All I can say, though, is just go with what you're more comfortable with.

Sorry that was a bit of a rhetorical question. If it's difficult to discern which is better, then it is a mark of "balance" imo. If every item and every skill was truly "situationally" good at the highest level, then it would achieve balance perfection. Nonetheless, I don't think any game in history has achieved that. Even in chess, white has more than a 35% advantage over black.

Also, I want to retract what I said about hammer blow working with guns. Absolutely does not.

Since FM addressed the issues about legendaries being under powered, I wonder what'll happen to the legendaries that were previously uncommons or epics being forged into legendary.

Have you found a pattern with rarity changes yet?

That doesn't apply here at all. the 5% statistical advanatge (not sure where you picked up 35%...) is only due to the first move advantage, which only happens because chess is a turn based game.

If you want to move into the realm of RTS, Starcraft BW is widely considered the best RTS of all time. Even then, Terran at the highest level has an advantage over other races. If we want to dive deeper into each individual race, valkyrie's are severely outclassed by wraiths and goliaths and even m&M for AA coverage. Ghosts are wholly under utilized except for lulz. Comparable to blunderbuss I think, hilarious weapon (not to mention you can get the knockback in the form of an engineer skill), but wholly underwhelming compared to the other two.

35% was pulled from latest winrates studies, excluding draws.
