HIRING - full time position for Unity developer in Birmingham UK

Discussion in 'Developer Services and Trade' started by SyncInteractive, May 3, 2012.

  1. We are a mobile application and game development company based in Birmingham city centre in the UK. Our team is expanding and we have more game projects on the go than we can currently handle... so we are now looking for a Unity developer to join our team as a full time position, specialising in 2d mobile games on the Unity engine.

We work on a huge range of projects from corporate apps to games, for both small startups, to multinational brands. Games projects will vary from some of our own in house ideas, to games for huge global brands, so this is an excellent opportunity for die hard games fans and Unity stars.

We are a young and dynamic company with 6 staff, set in a beautiful work space right in Birmingham city centre, complete with great coffee shops, fooseball table in the office, and student pubs round the corner for lunch and after hours 'socialising'. As well as being part of a great team and a great environment, you will also have a real say in how the company moves forward, our direction and also have the opportunity to come along to lots of mobile gaming events that are hosted at Birmingham Science Park. So if you love games, you will be right at home here!

Salary is 18-20k depending on experience, with a pay review after the first year.

Qualifications and previous work experience is NOT essential, although would be preferred. The key skills we are looking for are people who have a great working knowledge and skillset in Unity for mobile devices, mobile game optimisation and the majority of jobs will be 2d based games.

So if you can demonstrate your skills with working samples, links to live games and even better have code examples for our unity guru to look after, please get in touch ASAP.

You can find out more about us and some of our in-house projects (we have about 10 superb game concepts ready to go, plus several large client projects so you will be kept busy on a great range of varied projects) over at:

To apply for the role please email myself at [email protected]

    IMPORTANT NOTE:

Please note this role IS ONLY available for people who can come in on a 9-5 in our studio, no remote workers, no agencies, no development farms etc as we will not return any emails or calls so please don't bother to get in touch unless you are looking for a full time position and live in the area or don't mind moving. We DO NOT and WILL NOT outsource so don't waste your and our time by contacting us please!
