Ya, I guess a little tweaking was inorder. After I posted my question, I googled to see what was out there and ran across cwget. Going to play around with it later. So it looks like mrp40 is a trial. Do you know how long a trial it is? SO how did you end up feeding the sound to the program?
Fantastic!!! You guys are getting really fast at decoding these puzzles!! Isn't teamwork amazing!!!? Well done!! AWESOME!
Rank update! Okay... just for fun, I processed all of the data and posts on this thread to see where everyone stands (rank-wise) in the running for the Grand Prize... So far (taking into account who has solved the most, who has helped the most, who has tried the hardest, who has the best manners, who has accumulated the most eligibility points, who has been given the most eligibility points, who has really tried, who has dropped the most hints, who has given it their all despite chasing red herrings and going off on wild goose chases, who has finally understood the hints, who has used both sides of their brain to the fullest, who has stepped in at the last second to solve the puzzle, who has taken the wildest guesses, who has come up with the most amazing deciphering ideas, who has blown the most gaskets, who has lost the most sleep, who has shown the most devotion to deciphering, who was the fastest at solving the puzzles, who has solved the most puzzles in a row etc) this is the updated top 10 list of names of who currently has the best chance of winning the grand prize of a Parrot AR. Drone (a cool hover toy!!!) 1. hiurdin 2. staulcub 3. pajo_ojap 4. cloudcastles 5. jwcasser 6. cjsbug 7. da shiz wiz 19 8. Daldaris 9. KoOne23 10. warcrack Note: This list may change depending on how the rest of the contest continues... As you can see (if you look through this thread)... we've had quite a shuffle of names as we've progressed through this contest! So you never know! You've got to be in it for a chance at the Grand Prize! So get in there! If your name hasn't made the list - you need to try harder (you may just be in position 11)! Extra note: You don't need to actually solve the puzzles in order to be eligible... you may earn eligibility by just being helpful in the thread! Good luck everyone! Be on the look out for more puzzles!!
Wow... I'm getting a bit worn out! I'm going to have to do a quick system reboot. That should give me the rejuvenation that I need! Stay Tuned!
cwget worked better for me. I am not sure about the mrp40's trial status as I uninstalled it when the other one worked out. Cwget seems to be working fully but is unregistered so I am not sure if it has a trial limit. I have a small external laptop usb webcam that I used as a mic and placed it in front of the speakers while I played the file. Some programs can capture the audio internally but I couldn't figure out if that was possible with that.
I think the voice is talking in reverse in the video. I don't know how to reverse the audio, so it's up to one of yall
i reversed the audio but then it sounds backwards. So I don't think its reversed. Altho the last word does seem to be reversed but can't make it out either way yet.
I'm not even sure I can make out "Hello" but now that you say it I can sort of here it as the first word.
Busy couple days. Can't believe we're already on #27. So for this latest vid, I've tried to splice the different pieces together in different orders. So far I think I'm hearing "the answer", but I can't get the rest in any order that is understandable.
I thought I heard "turn me off" when playing it backward toward the end (which is really the beginning)
hmm...the sound of silence?! I know I don't have anything either. I've listened to it and listened to it played around a bit with moving the sounds around, listened in reverse and all I can come up with is that you can hear just about anything you want to hear in the sounds. I can't help but wonder if I'm focusing to much on the audio. The picture itself kinda looks 3D. Anyone have 3D glasses to check it out? I can't find any around the house to try it myself. I was also wondering about the 'REBOOTING', tried some anagrams. Also maybe noticed that it begins by leaning sort of to the right and then ends leaning sort of to the left during the video. Was wondering if that represented audio channels left and right.
I'm busy packing, so I really don't have time for this -- and will be traveling for the next two weeks, so ... I will be falling way down in garbot1's list, haha.
well, pack an iphone and a computer and you're all set. As you can see the dearth of responses here, this one looks to be another toughie. We will see how long it takes to crack this one, so I don't think you'll be to bad off.
Am taking along my iphone and ipad. My mbp is too heavy, which is partly why I got the ipad. There are so many letters in the background of the video, but I really can't make them out.
now I've rearranged the sounds and I get something that sounds like "piece all <something> together" But then again maybe I'm desperate.
Hmm? I think your first attempt sounds more promising... "the answer..." But... who knows? My reboot was a bit muddled... Still... I'm feeling like I have more energy now. Keep trying... I'm sure you'll get it!
