Ohhh I broke the tie! So, nope I don't have GTA. I never really thought of getting it either since I have it on my PSP.
Yes. It is the most in-depth game on the iDevice, hands down. However, I don't think it is the best game. It was still easily worth the 10$ to me, though.
No, I lick my touchscreen all the time. After my friends use it, I lick it so the germs don't get on my hands.
So since posting way back on the second page earlier this month I have actually purchased the full version. My main worry was the controls but surprisingly the controls work really good on the iPhone/iPod Touch version. I can understand GTA not being a game for everyone but honestly I am not a fan of the GTA series and the last bunch of GTA games I played (Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, San Andreas, GTA IV) I didn't care for at all. I'm not sure if it is the top down perspective that I really like about Chinatown Wars or if it is the good story but ontop of that the game is full of content. For anyone who dismisses the game because of the top down view give the game a chance before you declare the game garbage. The view isn't bad at all and you quickly get use to it as well as the controls for the cars and on foot. The cars do handle differently and I have hopped into a car or two only to highjack a different car when I found the controls sucked. Some people might just want to free roam instead of focusing on the main missions but there are only 60 or so main missions non of which are hard and all are pretty quick. This only amounts to less than 50% of the completion of the game meaning there is still tons of stuff to do once you are done with the main story. Even though I played through the DS version I'm more than happy I purchased the App Store version as well. I've already played through the main missions so now I'm working on all the extra content now.
