If the app crashes it's the app not the server. it's the server you would get disconnected from your game, but the app still would be open.

Is there a way to edit the UPnP settingsvia the Airport Utility?
Or maybe trpe in the router's IP or some number into Safari and eduit the setting there, like the first post with typing in that address with the numbetrs and dots.

This is exactly what I did. Was on by default, choose disable, back on enable, save, and now it works - don't crash for me though, works fine, great big arenas and stuff, but, you'll see when you get in. - But this did it for me, thanks :)

If its a UPNP error all you have to do is upgrade the firmware to the latest.
If you are using Linksys like I do heres a guide to upgrade:

Go here http://www.linksysbycisco.com/CA/en/support enter your serial # or the model click enter, wait for page to load then find for Downloads and Drivers and click "Get Downloads". Select latest hardware version, find for firmware and click Download. Go to 192.168.1.1 and click Adminstration, go all the way down and backup your config then still in Administration find for Firmware Upgrade, click it then browse for the firmware you downloaded earlier and click start to upgrade, wait and its done.

Make sure you restore your config well if you want to.

Has anyone else gotten past this error and just can't see anyone move when they get into a game?

I'm still receiving the upnp error when joining a match. I've updated the firmware for my Linksys WRT54G to the latest version (1.02.7) and disabled/enabled upnp on the router, but still get the error. I've also uninstall/reinstall the game and rebooted my iphone. It's weird because if I disable upnp and attempt to log into Gameloft Live for multiplayer, i get the upnp error. After I enable it, I can login, but then get the error while joining a match. Very frustrating...

I did the exact same thing as you. Step by step. Same router. Everything. That's really weird. @_@

I don't get the error anymore. Don't get all happy when you start to not get it, because all that happens is you see everyone on top of eachother. The game is useless right now. You have to get the right everything that Gameloft wants... or you have to wait until their servers are fixed. :(

My iphone is a 3GS and jailbroken and does not work. However, my iphone 3G is also jailbroken but does work just fine without any issues. Still continuing to troubleshoot and see what the differences are that might be the reason for the upnp error. Worse case I will restore the phone and re-jailbreak and see what happens.
