I know you can listen to music already, but in iOS 4, are you able to now listen to music behind any game you play? Or will there still be a ton of games that don't support custom music, because the developers still need to allow that custom music feature?
Developers will have to allow it. If they want users to let them hear their sounds, from their game, well...
So the multitasking doesn't bypass that at all? *sigh* Maybe those days I dreamed of when I'll be able to play my own music behind Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 will never become a reality
its already allowed when the developers allow it ! i've been moaning for ages that not all devlopers do. The best is Civ Rev - you start it and have music on, it asks do you want to listen to your music, or your music and sfx, or game music and sfx. That is basically what all games should be forced to do
Yeah I know it's allowed when developers allow it. I'm asking if with this new "Multitasking", if that means that developers will no longer be able to completely kick your music out of the equation. Some games it makes sense. Other games, it makes no sense at all. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2? For Winnie the Pooh's sake why can we not play our own music in that? And iMario the "double-clicking Home to get the iPod controls" thing doesn't work, at least not anything I have tried it on that doesn't let you play your own music.
