I have nothing against it though. ChrisL Well-Known Member Dec 12, 2009 2,024 0 0 Montreal #8 ChrisL, Sep 22, 2012 Yea, I'm starting to doubt that story as well. I feel that they meant to put it free the first time, but the early adopters got angry so they decided to brush it off as an accident. I'm not complaining though, I got it free the first time. ninjackid Well-Known Member May 27, 2010 9,380 2 38 #9 ninjackid, Sep 22, 2012 Sweet! Thanks for the freebie! That said, the controls are either not great, or I am horrible at this type of game, to the point where it's hard to stay motivated to play. Combined with the presence of non-persistent/consumable IAP upgrades sadly means an almost guaranteed deletion for me. If the developer does something about the controls and IAPs, this becomes a keeper, as well as an automatic, "this shouldn't have been free" guilt IAP purchase, but until then, it's beautiful, but I keep games on my iDevices to enjoy playing them, not look at them and/or manage IAPs. Oh well, but game is pretty good, so definitely worth downloading! try2bcool Well-Known Member Feb 15, 2012 164 0 0 #12 try2bcool, Sep 22, 2012 Must just be you, the controls work as good as any other gesture-based games I've seen. You swipe up, down, left, or right...pretty hard to mess that up. What bothers me is the fact that they are "celebrating the release of the iPhone 5", yet they haven't updated to be iPhone 5 compatible with the bigger screen size. Subway Surfers immediately comes to mind. Having played that extensively, I find those controls to be absolutely flawless. So if you're saying these controls are as good as those... Yeah, something's not right. With this game it doesn't matter which direction or how many times I swipe, more than half the time nothing happens, aside from me dying again. With SS? Every single gesture is recognized. If these work as good as any other similar game, I guess I wish I didn't have so many other similar games to compare them to... Edit: Just checked the main thread... 15-20 pages of people discussing the same issues I'm having with the controls. Glad it's not just me. But it just wasn't for me. Can't really get behind the "drama" either, not feeling that, but my feelings on how the game felt has no relation to how I felt the game played for me. We're also working on changing the equipments and removing the "one time" use. I was playing this initially on an iPhone 5, and had no control issues whatsoever, but after playing it on my ipad 2, I noticed that you have to make overly long, deliberate swipes to get it to register, but still, not really any issues that couldn't be overcome. Controls like Subway Surfers really are in order here, though, since there isn't enough time to get the swipe to register, and still have time to hit crows and loot. Looking forward to the update, this game deserves better controls, cuz it sure is pretty to look at. visionwebs Well-Known Member Jan 24, 2012 1,144 0 0 #20 visionwebs, Sep 23, 2012 Well I tried it, Can't say the game is bad but there is something about it that I don't like. Can't put my finger on what it is though, I like IB and action games so this looks good on paper in my book but it's missing some pizazz. Maybe it's the non explorative nature of the game being hack and slash which you find in action RPGs, Maybe it's the fact I have so many infinite runners now, Maybe it's the lack of a quests feel, Maybe the bloody nature. Perhaps it could do with that something extra no one has thought about yet. Still as I said its not a bad game, so good luck with it and thank you for the opportunity of me trying it out for free.
