I hope the locked doors will be open now And I hope I won't face any dead end anymore like before recent the update
Am I the only one who thinks this game is getting off easy when people praise it so much? Yes the graphics are really awesome, but the gameplay? A choose your own adventure with little to no plot with three generic enemy types and a series of repetitive fights. I was bored after an hour, cut the rope was entertaining for days. If this game were on any other platform it would be thrashed. This isn't the only game that gets high marks due to its platform, i.e. Mage Gauntlet. Why do iOS games get a free ride from honest review and criticism?
Yup I lost my game save so I started over and thanks for the help Birkus but it didn't work. I guess this game really is full of bugs. How annoying it's become. I'm so glad Bards Tale came out too. I'm on hour 8 and still loving it. Oh well.
I think too many people thinks this is a RPG or something different. Some people says it is like a fighting game or cinematic, i think its more cinematic and fighting game mix. I mean isn't games like street fighter get repetitive too, but people loves it, I love it. Not all games are made for everyone, a lot of games that has high ratings, I absolutely hated. Now some games that are more unpopular or low ratings i actually enjoyed. This game does so well on iOS because it uses the touch screen and its the only game of it's kind until dark meadow and blood and glory happened. I love this style game, it brings me hours of fun.
Because not everyone has the same opinions as you do. Not hard to understand that, but maybe it's easier for some people to try to think it must be the platform, yeah that has to b it, cause everyone must share the same opinions. I think Modern Combat 3 and all the crappy horrid Metroid Prime games is utter trash, but a lot of people love it...I respect that everyone has different opinions. Anyways. Infinity Blade is awesome...it's more of an awesome fighting game with little RPG elements that is pretty easy the first hour or 2, but gets even more fun and addicting the later levels you progress. Awesome fun and addicting gameplay with a good handful of enemies to fight. I think it's getting good praise for good reasons, cause both Infinity Blade games are excellent. Also Mage Gaunlet is a pretty good game also. I think any handheld platform would love to have it.
It's not the fact that people like the game that get me, people have different opinions about everything, it's the fact that if this were on another system, PSP, 3DS, playstation store, etc., critics would treat the game differently. When I play this game I feel like I'm playing an archaic play style that went away years ago. There's nothing I feel is redeeming about the gameplay in a way that makes this game better than 'generic'. The controls work well for what they are and the graphics are stellar, but in the end I'm still fighting the same fight, over and over again. In other games, a coherent plot makes up for repetitive actions like this. This game on the other hand, being a spawn of a tech demo (don't fool yourself into believing the first game was much more than a tech demo) has a story that is so empty it only alludes to an attempt at forming a story around the skeleton gameplay. No offense to people to who like it, have your fun. I just want games to be reviewed on their own merits, not because its the prettiest game on a platform and has to be a showpiece of iOS gaming. The platform will never evolve if we all settle for such bare bones games.

If you h ave gotten more than an hour into the game, you would realize that it has more of a coherent story. The first one lacked a story, no doubt, it was a shroud of mystery more than anything. It could have went anywhere. ANYWHERE. And somewhere it did. The book (which I realize not everyone read) shed light on everything about the first one. Even little things you would find menial and senseless, had a purpose. It gears you up for the second game. The second game (I am about 4 hours in now) has tons of story to tell, and I for one, am happy to hear it. Don't mistake the fact that you simply don't like the game to not have a decent story. I am not saying it's award winning, but it's fun enough to keep me (and obviously several others) entertained.
Could somebody please explain to me how to use the heavy weapons properly, I skipped the part where they got explained, yeah I know quite stupid Thanks
Wow. Now that you have explained it all the me, I feel all guilty 'n stuff for enjoying this game so much. I didn't know I was keeping the platform from evolving.
I said I was bored after an hour, I finished the game. I really wanted it to get better. This game has enough story to maybe fill a decent size paragraph. I'm sure the script could be written on a post-it note. Very constructive reply.
hahahahah wow so you beat the game after an hour huh? You unlocked all the dungeons and passageways to further explain the plot right? In an hour. hahahaahahah smfh. And with that I am done with this conversation now. hahahha
I don't have time for long, constructive replies for people who just complain, complain, complain. When I enjoy a game I buy it. And if many people buy it developers will develop more games. I find this is a better way than bitch about the ones I don't like. The ones I don't like I erase and move on.
Few questions. Does the block stat increase the effectiveness or just the number of times you can block? Does the block stat have any effect on duel weapons? What exactly is a combo and how do you perform in? What is your favorite weapon to use? (light, heavy, dual)
I got iphone 4 not touch though, but i can feel the update definitely improves the gameplay, smoother in some fights, not that huge a difference though
I forget that there are children who frequent these forums. I said I was BORED after an hour. I played through till the end, defeated the god king, got betrayed by the worker, and have unlocked the branching pathways. Explain what plot, by the way? Every "boss" you meet has like two sentences of dialog before they say something about spilling your blood. The story never gets you invested in the characters, their motivations, or your main characters quest. The beginning plot device is "I have this sweet infinity blade, I'm gonna free the worker" Spoiler Free the worker only to be betrayed? Why? "Because you're the one who put me here" Oh my, the plot thickens to the point that I can't see behind the lame attempt at something beyond "The princess is in another castle" This year we had over a dozen games that came out that define gaming, rise it to levels never before attained. These triple A titles don't deserved to be grouped with Infinity Blade.
I hope so, this post looks like it was written by a 6-year old who says something akin to "If you love it so much, why don't you marry it? HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! GET IT, GUYS??!!!! MARRY IT?!! AHHHH HAHAHAHA!".
