      ... will I get more enjoyment out of this if I lay the first one?

      I didnt bother playing Inotia 1 beyond a few mins of the demo bc I just wasnt very impressed.

      I'm impressed with what the sequel seems to have to offer, but I want to make sure that having NOT played the original, I won't be missing any key story elements.

      The second one is completely different from the first, so you won't be missing anything.
